Emily's POV

"I don't think the aunt is telling us everything, and this could get dicey. And that husband of hers seems more concerned about his niece than his own son." Danny tells me and I nod in agreement.

"Susan, we need to speak to you. Come this way." Danny and I both lead Susan into another room.

"You used to work in retail?"

"So what?" Susan asks us.

"What you didn't tell me was you used to work in this mall years ago. Detective Reagan was only able to find that out from Beth."

"What does that have to do with anything?" Susan asks us.

"You know this building like the back of your hand. Earlier, you made sure to separate from the group. What did you do with Katie?" Danny asks while slamming his hands on the table.

"Why would you ask me that?" Susan asks, flinching when Danny banged his hands on the table.

"You and Richard have been playing the happy family, when the truth is you've been separated. Why else didn't you realize he hasn't had a cigarette in over a month? He has no use for a new lighter."

"Richard and I have been trying to work things out." Susan tells us.

"Did you really believe that getting rid of that little girl would take away his sickness? Did it happen to you last week? After you saw on the news that a little girl was snatched from a local mall and found dead three days later? Did you duct-tape her mouth, too? You know, if you do that to someone with asthma, they could die. But I guess you already figured that out." Danny says getting closer to her. I technically should intervene but Danny knows how far to go in order to get a suspect.

"This was not supposed to happen to my family." Susan says, causing Danny to grab her arm.

"It didn't just happen, Susan. You took her, a six year-old vulnerable child who trusted you, who trusted your husband... You need to tell me where she is." Danny shouts before grabbing the photo from me.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Susan tells us.

"This is how Katie sees herself, self-loathing, dirty, disgusting. That is what your husband made her feel. Those nights that she would stay at your house, he would sneak into her room and tell her not to make a sound. Do you have any idea how terrified she must have been, how confused, while you lay awake protecting an animal who will always have those urges and always has." Danny shouts.

"Don't. Please don't." Susan begs making my blood boil because it reminded me of Dorothea's cries in her sleep.

"That's what Katie cried out at night but you didn't do anything! There's nothing left for you to protect, Susan. Instead of shielding her from more pain, you blamed her for your own. You have robbed Katie of her childhood, are you going to steal the rest of her life from her as well? Now where is she?!" I yelled out causing Danny to look at me with concern in his eyes.

"The basement." Susan says before Danny hands Susan over to me and runs out of the room.

Erin Reagan's POV

"Please do not hurt me Daddy! I promise to be good." Dorothea's cries from her room and I walk over to see her tossing and turning in her sleep. Entering the room, I bend down and begin to rub her back in hopes of waking her up.

"Wake up angel. It's just a dream."

"Erin, did Elle tell you about the case we caught!" Danny shouts, causing me to glare at him.

"Shut up! Dorothea's having a nightmare." I whisper harshly towards my older brother while continuing to rub Dorothea's back. Dorothea's eyes open and they were searching for the man who hurt her. Dorothea's eyes land on me and crawls into my lap before I rock us back and forth.

"He's not here angel. It's just you, me and your annoying uncle." Dorothea giggles while rubbing my shirt on her skin to soothe herself.

"I don't know if I should be offended sis. But I'll have you know that I'm not annoying." Danny says with a wink towards Dorothea.

"Why don't you go ask Nicky to grab you some warm vanilla milk? I'll be there in a minute." Dorothea nods before leaving her room and I stand back up.

"If the bastard wasn't dead, I would have killed him myself." Danny mutters to me.

"Agreed. I'd help you hide the body. Now what was this case?"

"A young girl was missing because her aunt was ashamed of her being molested by her husband. But Erin, Hotch told me that his tech analyst found video of that bastard raping Dorothea." Danny tells me while his hands were clenched into fists.

"Jesus. Do Emily and JJ know?"

"Yes. I suggested that they go out for dinner while I let you know. Has she been sleeping?" Danny asks me.

"No. Dorothea hasn't slept much since you showed her that movie! She's not like our kids Danny. She thinks everything scary is real because James put it into her head."

"I know and Emily already gave me shit. I'm going to visit Linda and the boys tomorrow before coming back for Dorothea's birthday. The family will also come to celebrate her birthday because Emily and JJ want to throw her a big bash." Danny tells me.

"Dorothea will love her party." I say with a smile when Dorothea enters the room with a bottle of milk in her hands.

"Auntie Erin and Uncle Danny, can we watch a movie and have popcorn?" Dorothea asks us.

"Of course we can. I promise no scary movies." Danny tells her before the three of us headed to the living room.

JJ's POV

"Susan consoling Katie's mother, that's an image that's going to haunt me for a while."

"Well, we could have been left haunted by a lot worse." Emily says when Dorothea enters our room and climbs into bed with us.

"Hey sunshine. Did you have fun with your aunts and Nicky?"

"We got to work on my Halloween costume and went shopping for candy. Auntie Erin put away two large packs of Skittles just for me. Uncle Danny tried to take them but Auntie Elle tackled him while Nicky and I tickled him." Dorothea tells us with a smile but Emily and I could see the dark circles underneath her eyes.

"That sounds like fun little one." Emily tells Dorothea who pulls at her top and Emily complies indicating that Dorothea wanted to nurse. Dorothea latches onto Emily's breast and begins to suckle.

"She really needs this. Erin said that she did skin-to-skin contact to soothe Dorothea after a nightmare. She disclosed that she dreamt of my mother and James hurting her, despite Dorothea not meeting mom until recently." Emily tells me as I look down to see that Dorothea's asleep.

"Well Hotch once told me that fairytales tells children that the monsters can be killed. Dorothea never learned that before and it's our job to teach her that."

"It's definitely our job to teach her that." Emily says before kissing our daughter's head.
