Emily's POV
"Hey Section Chief Strauss." Section Chief Erin Strauss enters the house and follows me into the living room.
"Is something wrong?" JJ asks her.
"No. I just wanted to see Dorothea and see how she's doing." Erin tells us when Dorothea enters the living room and gives Erin a smile. The cuts on her face were beginning to scar which sadly compliments the scars on her eyebrows that James had inflicted on her.
"Hi Erin. Do you want some coffee? Mommy says that I make the best coffee." Dorothea offers Erin.
"No thank you honey. I just came to see how you're doing." Erin tells her.
"I am doing okay. My chest hurts but other than that I am doing fine." Dorothea says before walking away from us and heads back to her room.
"The glasses are new." Erin tells us.
"The doctors at the hospital noted that her vision wasn't 20/20. So yesterday we took Dorothea to the eye doctor and they prescribed her glasses. Apparently she's had bad vision since she was four when James hit her in the head so hard that it caused her vision problems. The hospital looked at it her optic nerves and saw that they were damaged. They were able to fix it but the damage was already done."
"I wish none of that happened to her. I care about her like my own daughter. Maybe it's because of what happened to her or her innocence, but because of that I'll never move anyone out of the BAU unless it's absolutely necessary. I'll make sure your team is never apart." Erin tells me.
"Thank you."
"If you two need more time off, it's yours." Erin tells me.
"Maybe the next two weeks so Dorothea can heal."
"Of course. It's done." Erin says before leaving the house.
