Salty tears stained my face. I muffled sniffles as I twirled the cord of my headphones around my pointer finger. "God damn it, Kay, move down," grumbled Ashley. I've been on the bus for ten hours straight to California, for our school vacation. I wasn't looking forward to the trip at all, I was forcefully seated with Ashley Barnes, also known as the result of bad fake tans and tacky extensions. I had just ended a huge fight with my parents who were the ones who shipped me off here in the first place. I'm missing Warped tour and a summer I was supposed to have all to myself, it's tragic really. I grumbled back and complied. My eyelids grew heavy sending a wave of relief to my aching muscles. I slowly drifted off and silenced my thoughts with Hell Above by Pierce The Veil.
I woke up sleepy eyed to typical Ashley and Callie. "Guys I swear, if Kay's rooming with us I'm out of here. I'm sick of her issues, god, lighten up, right?" Callie muttered. Eh, I could really care less about all their complaints, my phone hummed in my back pocket, I opened my lock screen to the beautiful Ronnie Radke staring back at me. I cracked a half smile, until I read my latest text. Hey babe, listen, I can't do this anymore. I can't say that we can't pick back up where we left of, once your, you know, stable? Your just too much work for me right now. Love you! I couldn't believe my eyes. I re-read the text over and over, until the tears blurred my vision too much. I had no true friends, two parents who could care less, and only fifteen dollars tucked in the pocket of my denim cutoffs. How do you go on knowing you've lost everything? That's right, you don't.
