KELLIN'S POV
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was nice to have closure with Kay, I mean as long as we're still friends, my life can go on. I ordered in the next few days, working from home on some heartbreak songs. Maddi would clean to help me out as usual, but tonight she actually came downstairs. I was curled on the couch watching "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" when she took the seat next to me and smiled.
"Little company ok?" She teased.
He smiled. "I guess it's time for some social interact huh?"
Kellin couldn't peel his eyes off Maddi, her thoughtfulness and long fluttery lashes were captivating enough. By the end of the movie Maddi had Kellin deep in discussion. The movie could have ended hours ago and neither would have noticed. Kellin's spirts were definitely lifted from before thanks to Maddi.
Before sleep hit, Kellin's phone buzzed. It was Kay.
if you ever need anything, friend, feel free to hit me up.
Actually Kay there is one question. He typed.
He wait until he got the response back from Kay before he went to bed. He got the answer he had hoped for.

"Let's go to breakfast," Kellin proposed the next morning.
"Alright... You're driving though," Maddi laughed tossing Kellin the keys.
"Hm no deal, show me your driving skills and breakfast is on me,"
"Enticing" Maddi said raising an eyebrow.
She grabbed the keys back and strutted out to the black Audi parked out front. Kellin slid in the passengers seat swifty, as Maddi revved the ignition like a pro.
"Woah for a youngster you know what your doing," Kellin stated.
"Duh. Wait... Youngster? I'm turning 18!" she scoffed.
"I thought you were Kian's younger sister..."
"I am. Kay didn't tell you? Kian was 18 when they first stared seeing each other. That would make him 20 now."
"Oh I'm sorry, I really didn't realize..." trailed Kellin.
Maddi jerked the wheel harder, and nodded forcing a smile.
"Kellin, can I have a favor?"
"Depends, what's on your mind?" Kellin asked.
"I decided to take up photography in the city, I got accepted to a School of Arts in downtown LA."
"That's great Maddi, when did all this happen?!"
"Last week, I applied after my parents told me I could stay in LA for as long as I pleased."
"Great, I'm really happy for you, Maddi,"
"One thing though, my family doesn't have enough money to have me dorm," she looked uncomfortable and shaky.
"Hey there, you can stay with me, the door to my place is always open to you." Kellin tried to soothe her rubbing her shoulder.
"Thank you," her mouth said, but her body tightened.
All in all, Maddi's day went alright. The coffee that morning was stale, and she still had a lump in her throat from asking for favors from Kellin. Her mood for the rest of the day shifted. It rained mostly, too which didn't help much.

KAY POV
I tapped my cigarette lightly on the side of my converse, letting the ashes dance away.
"Look at that one," Parker said pointing to one of the really bright stars off in the distance."
I had to yank a headphone out of my ear to hear him. "What?" I whispered.
"That star. It's beautiful," Parker continued.
"Isn't it?"
I was curled on a flannel blanket next to Parker. We were 'star gazing' as Parker called it. We both had our earphones in. I'm guessing by the way his eyes are closed he's listening to something indie. He promised to take me star gazing if I promised to hang out with Ari, Sky, Maddi, Josh, and Kellin tomorrow. Kellin's name made my stomach churn, but my heart knows that I still need Kellin, even just as a friend. I cuddled up to Parker in an attempt to warm my shaking body, he handed me an earphone and pulled me in closer sending warmth throughout my body.
"You'll be fine tomorrow," Parker said brushing a piece of hair out of my face.
"I hope," was the last thing I mumbled before falling asleep.
