I awoke to very bright light. Where was I?
"Welcome to the UK!" cheered the flight attendant over the PA. Then I remembered where I was and a surge of nervousness mixed with excitement rushed into my veins.
I picked my small carry on out of the overhead compartment and trailed everyone else to the exit of the plane. I could tell even quiet Josh was trying to stifle his excitement. As we walked off the plane I noticed a definite difference from any place I've ever been. It was evening time and a sweet smell floated in the air. Little black taxis merrily beeped back and forth picking up smiley tourists with little cameras hanging around their necks. Parker picked up on my awe of the beauty surrounding us.
"You like?" He asked
"God, I love it. It's beautiful," I replied holding up my iphone to snag a quick picture of the diming sky from the airport balcony we were currently all standing on.
"It really is," said Skylar. I'm pretty sure that's the most I've ever seen her smile.
We lugged our bags to the luggage pick up and went to pick up our suitcases.
The rotation of the suitcases started with a long slow groan of machinery. Parker hoped up on the rotating platform and rolled around laughing. We laughed along uncontrollably as he bumped into numerous suitcases. The older couples also near the platform looking for their luggage laughed along. Parker suddenly lost his footing and began to wobble. I bit my lip nervously and reached out a hand to him. He grabbed it an pulled me up with him.
"Dude I gotcha!" Parker cheered triumphantly.
" I thought you were going to fall!" I defended half heartily.
We finally were ushered out of the airport by security and our luggage was thrown into a small taxi. In the taxi we sipped from Evian water and turned up some of the lasted UK music which was surprisingly good . Ari's Evian water had a small ring of cherry lipstick coating the top. Josh also had a similar tint of cherry smudged around the corners of his mouth. I laughed.
"Got a little something something there, Josh," I teased pointing to my mouth. He blushed as did Ari she smiled showing two dimples hidden in her face.
We pulled up to the venue slowly. There were so many people outside. Many with band tees and Redbulls in hand. They cheered as our taxi approached. They waved their sharpies at us at we stepped out of the car.
"Why are they wanting your autographs?" I asked.
"They don't. They want yours. Haven't you heard, your all Kellin can talk about!:)" Skylar said matter of factly.
My mouth shaped into an O shape. Maybe I was surprised or just creeped out but probably just a little of both.
