As we finally arrived at the hotel, the sun was just coming up to greet us. Ashley, Callie, and I trudged up to our room. We opened the door and were surprised to find that our hotel room was gorgeous. It had plush carpet, the kind your feet just kind of sinks into, and chic leather chairs. There were three tidy beds pushed up against the wall. I heaved my suitcase onto the bed closest to the window. "Look at this place, Callie." Ashley exclaimed.

I rolled my eyes and headed off to the bathroom. There was marble backsplash surrounding the open bathroom. It was breathtaking. I looked in the mirror and sighed. My long brown hair was matted, and my eyes were lifeless and smudged with the previous day's eyeliner. I threw some cold water on my face and decided to slip on a Sleeping With Sirens crop top and some grey skinnys. I picked up my favorite retro sunglasses and slinked off to a side street leading me away from the hotel. I thought about Jed, his cute smile and the way he always smelled like fresh cut grass. He used to be my second half, the way he looked at me just said It all. I had caught him looking at other girls before, I had seen him becoming more wrapped up with the cheerleaders than he was with his own performance, but never did I ever believe he would leave me. I took a jagged breath and pulled out my phone, ready to reply to his farewell message. My fingers furiously jabbed at the tiny keys on my iphone. Sorry I'm not as good at hiding the pain as you wanted. Sorry I'm so worthless, but most of all I'm sorry I ever wasted a minute with you. With that I allowed my self a small smile, even knowing that my future with my "one and only" was gone.

I heard a familiar screech of street beggars pleading out. It really reminded me of home back in Seattle, downtown where I lived, they're practically the norm. I handed an older couple with fearful eyes a ten dollar bill, leaving me with a mere five dollars for the remaining part of the summer. The lady handed me a ticket, which was crumpled and stained a deep brown tint. I looked at the ticket, it was simply so familiar. "Thank you hun, I won this off another beggar, maybe it will help you more than it will help an oldie like myself." she smiled tiredly as she placed the faded ticket in my hands. It wasn't until I was back to the hotel that I noticed that the letters W-A-R-P-E-D were etched in softly. That's when it hit me, I had just scored a ticket to warped tour...
