That night Kay slept alone. She curled up with a mug of tea and wiped relentlessly at her never ending tears. Maddi timidly crept up to the door frame and knocked so lightly, Kay had to strain to hear.
"Kay? Can I come in?" Maddi asked nibbling on a stubborn hangnail; To which Kay responded with an inaudible grunt.
Maddi walked in anyways, slowly making her way over to the trembling body tucked under the layers of blankets. Maddi too, also climbed into the quick sand of blankets alongside Kay. Maddi didn't lay there to try and talk, just to press against Kays limp body, just to hold her, wipe her tears, do everything her brother would have done to someone with an aching heart.
"Will... Will he leave me Madds?" Kay sniffled
Honestly Maddi didn't have the slightest clue, but she knew one thing; if there love was real Kellin would return. Instead of saying this, she just nodded and huddled closer.
"I love you," Kay said hugging her back
Maddi smiled and whispered something in Kay's ear that made her smile. Several tissue boxes and one tub of ice cream later, both girls were fast asleep in each others arms. They weren't just desperate for someone to talk to that night, they were feeding of each others sadness, both fueled by the same tragedy.

The next morning Kellin was waiting in the kitchen. He was nervous of the damage he had done. Kellin knew in his heart he should have stayed, but he also knew he had a right to feel the way he did.
"Kay" he called. No response. She was probably so tired, as he was. He was tired, but restless unable to stand waiting for the deterioration of their relationship. Kellin poured himself a glass of Daniels as he waited for Kay.
One glass down. He cried a little less noticeably.
Two glasses. He stopped shivering.
Four glasses. Lines became blurred.
Five glasses. He was completely numb.
If you loved me, why'd you leave me? Take my body, take my body. All I want is, and all I need is to find somebody. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maddi woke up first and left Kay to sleep while she fixed a pot of Brazilian coffee she found in the back of Kellin's cabinet. She knew coffee was Kay's favorite, so without doubt Kay scurried into the kitchen smacking her lips, shortly.
"mhmm," that smells awesome Kay exclaimed inhaling deeply.
"It's my specialty," Maddi proudly declared. Kellin heard Kay's familiar voice and shook himself awake, "KAY! I'M SORRY BABE."
"Are you drunk?!" Kay said spotting Kellin curled up on the recliner & slurring about how he was sorry.
"Uh" Kellin hesitated knowing lying would only make matters worse, "Yes, I was hurting so bad."
Kay nodded understandingly, but she still frowned even more than before. A muffled choking noise escaped Kellin's gaping mouth. For a second Kay was convinced he was only having a stroke, when in reality he was totally passed out, snoring loudly.
A knock interrupted the annoying grunt. Kay tip toed over to the door only to find no other than Parker gazing intently at the door practically begging it to open.
