Summary: Logan tries to calm himself from his unusual dream while doing laundry, only for his mom to walk in when he's on the verge of panicking. Having two moms comes with its perks.

TW - Gay mess.

Also, I have a Puerto Rican coworker now, and I realise that Mama is definitely Puerto Rican. I have been adopted at work.

"Patton's just my friend! He's my best friend - maybe my brain got confused because like, getting a best friend is as unusual for me as getting a girlfriend... or boyfriend." Logan had locked himself in the laundry room as he was getting ready to clean the evidence of his misdemeanour. His wet dreams. And yes, he was speaking to a pillow at the moment because that was a whole lot less awkward than facing his parents. "This situation will probably haunt my nightmares too."

Logan did not previously consider what a future would be like in a relationship with someone of the same sex. But now he couldn't stop imaging Patton. Would he like to be kissed by Patton? His lips probably tasted of strawberries from all the fruity lip balm he wore. And his clothes always seemed so soft to hold – his skin was possibly soft too. Maybe Logan would really like to hug and hold Patton close... And he would like to do a lot more, but he was not going to think of that again.

"It's just hormones Logan, this is teenage-hood." Logan was now pretending to be the calm, collected version of himself he imagined he'd be in his late twenties. He did not calculate the possibility that Patton would make him weak at the knees in that same timeline. "Everything's going to be alright..."

The door slowly creaked open, making Logan's pierced shut eyes peak open towards the movement. Hopefully it was the wind – please say it was the wind – at least not Mama.

"Everything will be OK Lo-Lo." The voice of Mom whispered through the creak in the door, peaking through only slightly. She could see her precious son in the corner of the room, hands almost white grasping onto the counter as he leant over a pillowcase. "Are you doing laundry again?"

"The smell was off."

"Oh, well it is a new detergent, the old one's up in the top cupboard. I'll help you with it." Mom came in without invitation but also without question, which Logan was thankful for. "I'll bring your meals to your bedroom today if you'd want?"

Logan nodded, not moving. He can't keep all these emotions in. And if anything, won't his moms know exactly what he's feeling right now? They can help him process it rather than keeping everything inside until it would inevitably come out in front of Patton. Because that dream was way too tempting to not become reality right now.

"Shake it off Lo-Bear." Mom said gently again, reminding Logan to stim if he needed to. And he really needed to. And he needed to tell Mom about these feelings.

Logan felt like a small child again facing his Mom. Shaking, nervous, with tears in his eyes. It was hard to believe there was a time Logan faced his Mom and Mama with fear and distrust – now as an almost adult he felt like a five year old again just wanting comfort and kind words.

"I had a bad dream Mom, a really bad one." Mom's face was laced with all kinds of concerns and worries, and she stopped doing her son's laundry to guide him to the floor and sit down with him. "I wet the bed Mom, I'm so sorry."

Logan fell into his mom's arms straight away, crying loudly, shaking violently with his face red. Why did this gay awakening have to happen now – with Logan's first real set of friends? Why couldn't it have happened earlier with a distant celebrity rather than his best friend – or later when he had his shit together as an adult? Why couldn't he just have a crush on a girl?

"It's OK Logie, oh dear..." Logan's Mom held him tight, comforting and not ever letting go. "Do you want to talk about the dream or just want to be held?"

Logan sniffled and tried to catch his breath, calming himself down but refusing to move from his comfort cocoon. "You know my friend Patton? The one I'm on Education Placement with?"

"Did you two have a dream fight? I hate those." Mom brought her hands through Logan's hair, clearing the knots and kissing the parts that stood up by static. The truth was the exact opposite of a dream fight though... Did Logan's moms want him to be straight? I mean that would make no sense – but so did Logan's sudden realisation of homosexuality.

"No, I... I dreamt about him, uh..." Logan's fingers traced the actions involved in his dreams as he played the dream in his mind's eye again. Reimagining the grasp on his belt hooks and visualising the feeling of Patton's khakis on his palm. Every time he played the dream again, he found a new emotion or thought or desire. But he couldn't bring himself to say it.

Mom's stroking slowed as she spotted Logan's blushing cheeks, and she chuckled quietly to herself. "Is Patton making you question things sweetheart?"

"Yeah, everything. I didn't think I'd have a wet dream about a boy."

"It's totally normal you're figuring stuff out berry-boo, now's the time to do it. Mama and I love you either way." Logan smiled a little as he was kissed on the head, and he started to sit up again and just lean on his mom's shoulder.

Everything Logan planned in life always had a next step though. This was the first time there was no real idea on how to get to Logan's dream destination. He knew he wanted a future with someone of the same sex now, preferably Patton – but there were so many steps beforehand. He needed to come out to Patton, and Virgil and Roman, and would he have to come out to the first-grade class if he starts dating Patton? Goodness, then he'll have to deal with homophobia, and he was certainly not ready for that. "What do I do now Mom?"

"Well, now you can go upstairs and nap some more. Take time to process things." Logan nodded, wiping his eyes and sniffling the last sniffle. "But if you feel like you want to learn more about sexuality, the Community Stonewall are organising a Christmas-Hanukkah get-together next week – so you can come help me set up." Ever since Logan could remember his Mom and Mama volunteered at Community Stonewall, an activism and community group of local queer people of all ages. He was dragged to a few things growing up for the group – but this was one of the few times he'll go willingly.

After a few seconds of silence to think about things, Logan gave his Mom a hug and smiled wide again, like he always did when in the safety of his moms. "Thank you Mom. You're amazing." Logan then stood and walked towards the door to the laundry room that was left slightly ajar, ready to collapse into bed again and have more normal dreams. He sighed though when he saw his more excitable Mama smiling wide at the other end of the arch.

"I won't say how much I heard." Mama started, calming her frantic voice to her more caring parent voice. "I do accept you and love you no matter who you love. But I must meet this Patton dude! He seems so cute to impress my Logie's heart!"

Logan accepted all the hugs and praise he got from both his moms before he was finally allowed back up to his bedroom. When he entered his bedroom, he could still hear his moms chatting below about how big their baby boy is now and maybe they should get ready on baby number two. They were absolute lovebirds and... Logan really wanted to feel that amount of love coming from and giving to Patton.
