Tap tap tap. You heard something hit your bedroom window. It didn't wake you up though because you were already awake. Your parents were arguing again, and you couldn't sleep. You checked your clock before sitting up. 3 am.
You walked over to your window and looked out. There you saw your best friend, Johnny Cade. You quickly opened the window.
"Johnny! What's wrong?" you whisper yelled. It wasn't unusual for him to show up randomly in the middle of the night since he had problems at home too.
"My folks are at it again," he paused before continuing, "and it sounds like yours are too." He looked up at you apologetically. He knew you didn't like to talk about your parents fighting. "Sophie, can you come out?"
You thought for a second. "Yeah. I'll be down in a second." You pulled on some clothes and shoes before grabbing a backpack and filling it with some extra clothes and extra stuff. You quietly and swiftly crept downstairs and oiut the door.
Johnny hugged you. "What's with the bag?" he asked.
"I don't wanna come back for awhile," you stated. You looked up at your parents lit window. You could hear them screaming from out here. "They have problems they need to work out. I'll let them work them out without me."
Johnny nodded and linked arms with you. You both started walking down the road. He began playing with your curly, brown hair. It was something of a habit of his. "Have I ever told you how much I like your hair, Sophie?" Johnny inquired, out of the blue.
You just smiled at his odd question. "Maybe. Why'd you ask such a silly question?"
"I dunno," he shrugged. "Guess I just need to get my mind off things. Ya know?"
"Yeah," you sighed. "I guess."
You two walked in a comfortable silence for a while. You kept glancing over at Johnny. You had always had a bit of a crush on him, but you tried not to let it show. You liked being his friend, and you didn't want that to change. He looked really cute in the dim light of the distant streetlights. You began thinking of how he was always there for you and how he was always really sweet to you.
You didn't have to think twice about your next action. You stopped walking, pulled Johnny towards you and kissed him on the lips. He quickly kissed back. You pulled back slowly.
"Wh-what was that for?" Johnny whispered.
"I," you started, "I don't know, but I think I like you. A lot."
Even in the dim lighting, you could see Johnny's face was beet red. "Really?" He looked at you in disbelief. "I like you too. I just didn't think you were into me." He looked at his shoes.
You hugged him. "Johnny, you mean the world to me. No matter what, I'll be here for you."
He held you tight. "You're everything to me." He smiled at you. "Now we should probably get a move on before someone finds us." He took hold of your hand, and you two began walking again.
So here you go! I really hope you like it. This was not really thought out, so yeah. Thank you for requesting! M'kay.
