Your eyes stung with tears threatening to spill out. You did the first thing you could think to do and called your best friend, Ponyboy. All you did was ask him to come over.
He was there in four minutes flat, face a little red and his breathing heavy. He'd probably run there, knowing him.
"What happened? What's wrong?" he interrogated as he came in the house, immediately sitting down next to you.
You tried your best to hold the tears in, but you were kind of failing. "Nick broke up with me," you sobbed. You wiped your eyes as much as you could. "I don't know what I'm crying about, except maybe the fact that I thought things were going alright."
He put an arm around you, pulling you into his chest. "Oh, Madi. Shhh.... Just cry as much as you need. I'll be right here."
He held onto you until you finally lifted up your head, and this time he wiped the tears that had soaked your cheeks. You looked up into his grayish-green eyes.
"Pony, you're such a good friend. You're always there for me when I need you," you stated. You offered a small, somewhat pathetic smile. "What would I do without you?"
He returned the little smile and sighed. "Listen, Madison, this is probably way too soon, but i just have to tell you that I like you. As more than a friend, and it breaks my heart when I see you like this," he confessed, letting go of you and standing up. He walled over to the wall and leaned against it.
You stood up. "Pony..." You were pretty shocked. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?"
His self-reproachful expression lightened. "What do you mean?"
"I mean, we probably wouldn't have had to go through all this in the first place," you answered. You had actually liked Ponyboy since you were little, but you never figured he liked you back.
"You mean-" He walked over to you. "Madison, would you be my girl?"
"Well, duh," you replied, a huge smile on your face. You pulled him by his shirt closer to you and into a kiss.
I hope you like it! I know it's pretty short and kinda crappy.
There was a crash on our bus route home, and the dude in the crash literally had his pants halfway down his butt. I mean, his boxers were covering up stuff, but geez, pull ya pants up, idiot. It's really not attractive. Sorry for that image guys. M'kay.
