For Total_Outsider

You were never in one place for very long. People called you a runner because when you needed a change, you took executive and changed it for yourself. You had gone through almost every surrounding town to Tulsa, but now you had found a resting place in it.

You told yourself it was just temporary. You weren't going to stay. You never did. Besides, your 'reputation' had followed you here.

You walked into a little stop-and-shop to, let's say, 'pick up' a thing or two. You weaved through the aisles, casually glancing at the clerk every now and then. You'd look in a different direction when you'd slip something from the shelf into the inner pockets of your coat.

As you were picking something else up, a guy happened into the same aisle. You pretended to read the label before putting it back on the shelf. The guy had made his way to where he was right next to you.

He was good looking: tall, blonde hair, hardened features. He smirked as you set the item back on the shelf.

"I won't tell," he whispered.

You tuned to him, your eyes widened a fraction. "Tell what?"

He laughed a little. "You know exactly what."

"Maybe I do," you replied carefully. "Maybe I don't."

You finally picked something out to actually buy, as to not be suspicious. He followed you to the counter.

You paid and stepped just outside the door and waited for the guy to come out. When he did, you stepped out in front of him as to block him.

"What's your name?" you questioned.

"Dallas. Dallas Winston," he answered, opening the carton of cigarettes he had just purchased. He pulled one out.

"I've heard of you," you stated. He lit the cigarette. "They don't say much good about you."

"They don't say much good about you either," he countered. "Rose, right? The 'runner.' Oh yeah, you got quite the buzz on you, kid. All the Soc ladies are talking about you."

"Oh really?"

**Three Months Later**

You were still in Tulsa. In fact, you really hadn't even considered leaving any time soon.

Dallas became someone you met with regularly. You had also met a couple of the guys he was in a gang with, but you hadn't really met the gang.

"Hey, Rose," Dally greeted you one day, slipping his arm around your waist.

"Well, hey there," you laughed, hoping he didn't notice the red tinge on your cheeks.

"Let's go." He led you along.

You followed him. "Where're we going?"

"Just come on."

You both continued to walk until you ended up at a house. You saw a couple of guys flipping around in the front yard.

"Hey Dal!" one of the guys greeted, a big smile on his face and a little out of breath.

Within the next few hours, you got to know the whole gang. They were all great guys. You got along with all of them pretty well.

One thing you noticed was that nearly the entire time you were there, Dally stayed by your side

It was nightfall before you and Dallas left. He walked with you to where you were staying. At one point on your walk, he took your hand in his.

"Rose, I don't know any other way to ask, so I'm just going to get it out." He stopped and turned to look at you. "Will you be my girl?"

You couldn't help but smile. You got on your tiptoes and kissed him. "Yes."

Thank you so much for waiting. I hope you like it! M'kay.
