For baileyinthesky

It was Wednesday, and Two-bit hadn't been to school that day. You thought maybe he had finally come to his senses and decided he didn't like school. It was better to think about than why might be keeping him at home.

You had been dating Two for about 6 months now, and as cheesy as it was, you were as happy as can be with him. It was the perfect relationship: you rarely argued, but when you did you made up easily, you trusted each other, and you basically completed each other.

You were at the front door of Two's house and knocked. No answer. You knocked again. No answer. You decided to go in anyway and opened the door.

You stepped into the dark house. The door led directly to the living room/what had become Two-bit's room. He just crashed on the couch so often that the living room was pretty much his bedroom.

There he was, lying on the couch. You thought he was asleep, but he wasn't. He was just lying on his back, staring at the ceiling.

"Two-bit, baby, are you alright?" you asked, quietly, as if you were disturbing something. "Hey, it's Bailey."

He turned and looked at you for a couple of seconds before returning to his staring contest with the ceiling.

You walked over to the couch and sat on the floor so that you were level with Two's head. You didn't bother to say anything else, but you put your hand on his head and ran your hand through his rusty colored hair.

You both sat there like that for what felt like forever but in reality, was probably only a minute or two.

He turned and faced you again. "Bailey, do you think I'm a screw up?"

You were taken aback. This wasn't like Two-bit at all. "Of course not. I think you're just fine the way you are."

He sighed, but in an exasperated way. More like a deep breath. "But it's not like I'm good at anything. I'm never gonna get a job to take care of my family. Hell, I'm almost 19 and still in 11th grade. I think that's what people call a screw up." His eyes were glossy with tears ready to come out.

"Two, you're great at loving me, and you know what, that's all that matters. You love your mom, and your sister, and the gang. You will amount to something. Alright?" You looked him straight in the eye as you said every word.

He sat up and pulled you up onto the couch on his lap. "You're the best thing that's happened to me."

"Oh, Two-bit." You kissed his forehead. Then you smiled. "And here I was all day thinking you finally realized what a bore school is." You shook your head slightly in mock disapproval.

Two-bit's sweet, genuine laugh rang through the house, and you were just happy you helped get your favorite person to feel better.

Enjoy! I would've had it done earlier, but I've got this stupidass project for history and urgh.

Anyway, yeah. Happy Harry Potter Day!! M'kay.
