It was the week before Valentine's Day. Normally, you dreaded the day, but this year was different. This year, you had Dallas.

Sure, he may not seem like the Valentine's Day type of person, but he could be pretty sweet when he wanted to.

It took you forever to find the perfect present for him. You noticed that his leather jacket was getting pretty worn out. Of course, he'd been through many years, many fights, in that jacket. You figured you could get him another one just like it.

You scoured the shops around town for a jacket like Dally's. After a week of searching, you finally found it.

By the time Valentine's Day rolled around, you were excited. Dally hadn't really said anything about it, and you didn't bother to ask him. Except that you two made plans to meet at the Dingo for lunch.

You grabbed the present and headed over to the Dingo. Dally was already there when you entered the diner.

"Hey Dal," you greeted him, kissing his cheek before sliding in across from him in the booth.

"Happy Valentine's Day, Elyea," he said, smiling at you.

You smiled at the awkwardness of the conversation. "Here, I got you something." You slid the gift bag across the table.

Dally's eyes widened a fraction when he pulled the jacket out. "This is real tuff. Thanks, doll," he said, smiling really big. He shrugged off the jacket he had on and pulled on the new one. "It's perfect. Which reminds me..." He reached into the pocket of his old jacket and pulled out a rectangle-shaped box. He pushed it towards you.

You picked up the box and opened it. You put your hand to your mouth in surprise hen you saw it.

It was a heart-shaped locket. On the outside, 'Dally+Elyea' was engraved on it, and when you opened it, you saw that he had placed a picture of each of you in it.

"Dallas, I don't know what to say," you gushed. "It's beautiful." You unclasped the necklace and nodded for him to help you put it on.

He got up and placed the necklace around your neck and clasped it in the back. When you turned back around, he pecked you.

"The perfect present for the perfect girl," he stated.

I hope you like it, darling! Sorry that it's like almost a week after Valentine's Day and I write this. Oh well, who cares about timing anyway? (My future employer, I suppose....)

Anyway, thanks for requesting. Just a reminder that requests are on hold while I catch up. It's kinda slow, but I'll get through. Love you guys! M'kay.
