You woke up with an excited feeling coursing through your veins, radiating from your chest. It was your one year anniversary with your boyfriend, Ponyboy.
He told you that he made plans for the day, so you got ready quickly and practically flew down the stairs. You inhaled your breakfast.
"Slow down, Veronica," your mom laughed. "You'll throw up all over Ponyboy today if you don't."
You finished up and headed out. You skipped all the way to the Curtis house and were greeted by Soda, who was on his way out to work.
"Hey, kid! Ponyboy's still getting ready," he said, as he put in his shoes. "He wants to look good for you." He raised his eyebrows. Then he said bye, grabbed a backpack, and left for work.
You bounced on the balls of your feet, as you waited for Pobyboy to come out. Eventually, he walked out of his room wearing a button-up shirt, nice jeans, and his sneakers. He clearly hadn't made it to his hair because it didn't appear to contain any grease.
"Oh hi," he chirped when he realized you were standing there. "Just let me fix my hair, and we'll leave." He did so quickly, and you were both out the door.
"Where're we going?" you asked, slipping your hand into his.
"Oh somewhere," he replied smugly. And when he saw the look you gave him, he continued, "You'll see, Ver."
After a few minutes, Pony led you to a shady spot next to a small pond. It was beautiful.
"Oh Ponyboy!" You looked around, and you noticed the backpack Soda had taken earlier was set next to a tree. "What's in the backpack?"
He grabbed it and opened it up. He pulled out a blanket and some food. "Just a picnic."
You two set it up and ate. When you were both finished, you began to just talk.
"How do you see yourself in 10 years?" Pony inquired.
"Oh, I don't know," you replied. "Staring a family I suppose."
"With you?" he urged.
You hesitated and thought about it. You looked at Ponyboy. "With you."
"Really?" he exclaimed. "You see yourself with me in 10 years?"
You laughed at his joy. "Well, yeah."
He took your hands in his and started into your eyes. "Veronica, I love you."
"I love you too, Pony." You leaned forward and kissed him. When you finally pulled back, you said, "And there is no one I'd rather be with than you."
I hope you like it. Even tho it's kinda rushed and cruddy. Anyway, I'll try to do a couple today bc it snowed and they cancelled school today. M'kay.
