You pulled on your favorite sweatshirt. It was nearly three sizes too big and swallowed you, but it was warm and so comfortable. You grabbed a blanket and stuffed it in your little backpack.

With your pack, you slid out of your window and made your way to the vacant lot.

You found Johnny sitting, looking up at the dark blue sky. The stars were twinkling, and the moon shed just enough light for you to make out his handsome features.

You sat down beside him and cuddled up into his side, wrapping your arms around his waist.

He smiled down at you and kissed your nose. "Hey, Y/N. Whatcha doin' out here?" Curiosity showed in his big brown eyes.

"I wanted to be with my favorite greaser boy," you giggled. "Why don't you ever come stay at my house? You know my parents wouldn't mind."

"I know," he mumbled. "But I guess I just feel better being here. I can breathe in the cool night air and have a smoke if I want, and the stars and all that really calm me down."

You took in his words and felt such yearning to help him. You knew his home life was pretty terrible, but he would never let you or your parents get involved. "Johnny, you know how much I love you?" You sat up and looked him straight on.

He smiled, and you knew, just because you knew him so well, that he was blushing. "How much?"

You looked up. "My love for you expands as far as the sky. It's infinite."

"Y/N, I'll be loving you forever," he stated. "You and the gang are what really get me through each day. I love you so much." He pulled you into a hug.

You rested your head in the crook of his neck. "I know, Johnny, and that's why I wanna help you."

He just smiled and nodded. "Alright, Y/N. We'll talk about it again, tomorrow. You should head on home before you fall asleep."

You shook your head and pulled the blanket out of your backpack. "Nope, honey. I'm staying right here with you." You lay back and grabbed his arm to drag him down too.

He laughed at the gesture. "Goodnight, Y/N." He kissed your forehead. "Thank you."

You smiled. "Anything for you, Johnnycake."
