The elegant white house in the heart of Sundarnagar was once again bustling with liveliness and enthusiasm. Despite the chaos and amount of work all of them were excited and blissful for the much awaited programme which was to take place the next evening!
Mr.Hussain Bakhtiyar and his family had arrived just yesterday & this time Shirin and her husband were included too.
Mrs.Azmina and Mrs.Naushin Bakhtiyar had come last night as promised along with their families.
It was a very busy Thursday morning and despite the immense joy of meeting her best friend Zaara was extremely tired. She and her sister in law were literally running around the house attending the guests and also assisting the women in the kitchen. The guests were actually quite close to the family and it wouldn't have been much big deal but since Shirin's husband Zohaib was also present Mrs. Zeenat Bakhtiyar was very much careful & attentive towards getting things right.Son in law according to the traditions is held in unnecessarily high honours much to Zaara's annoyance because her mom would ask her after every 5 minutes to check if her brother in law needed anything!
The annoying ringing of the doorbell was another contribution to her already pissed mind.Zaara walked towards the door angrily and opened it with a stern face.
The minute she opened the door however her stern, composed face broke into a huge grin and her shattered heart leaped in joy at the sight of her beloved brother and his family who just returned from Qatar.
"Zuuppppii!!" Asbah screeched jumping excitedly and Zaara scooped her up in her arms making the four year old happy beyond bounds.
"Asboo I can't believe you are here", she said touching her neice ' s small face to check if she was for real!
"Waalaikumassalam to you too sissy and your brother and his wife are here too", Arif said grinning widely at the excited girls.
"Oh I am so sorry I was too caught in my neice", Zaara smiled sheepishly giving them room to enter.
"How are you habibti? "Farheen asked as she hugged her sister in law.
"Alhamdulillah m fine bhabi how are you all?" She asked as she settled on the sofa with Asbah on her lap.
Arif and Farheen settled on the opposite coach both tired from the journey.
"Just so you can see,the journey has almost taken out my entire stock of energy", Arif yawned widely in order to prove his point.
"Oh yeah it must have been pretty tiring", Zaara sympathised with her brother.
"But a journey is always tiring. It is meant to be.Some people are just used to exaggerating things and they don't even have a reason to be so exhausted if they haven't helped a bit in the packing. " Farheen complained nonchalantly.
Zaara smiled amusedly at her brother who put an arm around his complaining wife.
"You know I wanted to give you privacy for packing. Intruding someone while they are doing a task are extremely bad manners." Arif said smiling and his sister laughed aloud at that.
"Privacy for packing? Seriously Arif bhaiya? " Zaara asked amusedly.
"Oh your brother can come up with the weirdest of excuses", Farheen retorted.
"Zuppi look at me", Asbah excitedly said as she cupped her Zuppi's face in her small hands, her big brown eyes shining with happiness.
"Oh you are just getting cuter as days pass", Zaara gushed happily as she pinched Asbah's small button nose making her giggle.
