The chilly morning wind swept across the quaint town of Sundarnagar making the atmosphere cooler as it proceeded further. Black clouds had gathered together completely curtaining the warm bright sun from casting its radiance.
Even though it was 11:00 in the morning yet the weather was dull due to the rainy atmosphere. It hadn't rained since the last two days but the darkness still lingered.
Afzal paced in his room with a deep frown on his handsome face. His restlessness was evident in the way he impatiently paced the room. A day had passed since him and Zaara had their first argument after marriage and he hadn't talked to her since then except for the reply he had given to her apology text! The fact that she was the one to apologise first was enough for him to feel guilty enough let alone the fact it wasn't her fault whatever happened between them. How he now wished he could just go back in time and erase everything that happened!!
Sighing in exasperation he ran a hand down his handsome face remembering all of their sweet memories together. The beautiful bond of love they shared, the way Zaara loved and admired him treating him like a real life prince !!
Just the way she looked at him with immense love and affection ,listened to every word he said as if it was the most important thing in the world, obeyed him when he asked something of her or in this case even apologised to him.......just because she loved him hopelessly......!!!! She was always by his side,supportive and loving,the dearest one to his heart.....!!
And despite this he just had to get angry on her and ruin everything . Everything was going on so smoothly and just because he couldn't keep his temper in check it caused unnecessary problems in their beautiful marriage....!!!
He halted in his steps standing by the glass doors of the balcony gazing at the gloomy weather outside.
Her words echoed in his ears when she had assured him a few days ago while he had asked about why she chose him over Owais,
Why would I choose when my heart had already decided what it wanted ?
It has always been you Afzal .....and it will always be ...just you....!!!!
Afzal shut his eyes and clenched his jaw in anger. Why did he just have to be so stupid to yell at her for something she had already made clear to him.Just because Owais had returned her clutch doesn't mean Zaara had anything to do with it......
He knew it,he knew that all....that she loved only him yet .....it was his possessiveness ....his insecurity .....that made him act the way he did. He too loved her that much after all .......that he couldn't stand the thought of anyone liking her in that way.
It still didn't justify his actions. Her panic stricken and hurt expression came to his mind when he had thrown the clutch at her and it only seemed to elevate his anger. It was then he understood the depth of the advice that his best friend Faisal had given him before marriage, to not act upon his anger especially towards his wife .....
