The pleasant morning sun smiled brightly at the beautiful young girl sleeping peacefully on the bed ,as it rose higher in the sky. It extended its warm golden rays to awake her from her peaceful slumber & the girl smiled in her sleep at the gentle touch of the morning rays.
Nawal sat up on the bed with her huge smile still intact. It had been a few days after her engagement & obviously he had always been at the centre of her thoughts. But the reason for her smile wasn't entirely that, yesterday night was the first time that she dreamt about him.Well ofcourse she had seen him in her dreams after Istekhara as well.Yet this time was different.
His perfectly handsome face, black wavy hair, immensely captivating gaze & that bright charming smile....smile that made her heart go crazy beyond reason....!
She looked down at her engagement ring, wondering to herself if he missed her the same way as she did. How she wanted the two months to pass by quickly so that they could finally be together, he was the only person who had touched her heart in such a beautiful way & she so wanted to fast forward the time so that she could tell him how deeply she had fallen for him. But again these were the last two months she & her friend had to spent with their families. Although after getting married they would still be the daughters of this house yet both of them knew it wouldn't be the same...!
They couldn't behave the same childish way they did before marriage, they will have to give up on all their indolence & carelessness & who knows if they will even get to visit their families that often !
Nawal sighed running a hand across her fair face. On the one hand she couldn't wait to be with him & on the other hand she was depressed by the thought of having to leave her family. In that moment she perfectly understood the quote of Prince Hamlet just like her friend had come to realise a few days ago..!
To be or not to be is such a big question....!!
Yet when she pictured his smiling face, everything else just seemed to disappear & all she wanted was to stare at that charming smile of his which made her forget all the sorrow in the world!
"So finally you are awake."
Nawal looked up to see her friend who had just entered the room with a teasing smile.
"Yes I am Alhamdulillah. Since we are leaving tonight I needed some sleep.So no need to make any assumptions in that pretty head of yours. " She scolded in her soft voice.
Zaara raised an eyebrow at her as she spoke amusedly,"Well I didn't even assume anything. I just said you are awake.Since you know, I had to come upstairs thrice to check if you had woken up from your 'Oh so sweet dreams.' I hope you had a good time with Arhaan bhai."
Nawal narrowed her eyes ignoring the blush on her cheeks, "I wasn't dreaming.Unlike you I am very realistic. "
"Ofcourse", Zaara agreed as she settled beside her on the bed,"But since you were smiling in your sleep I figured that it could be just because of one reason.....One obvious reason. "
Her blushing friend looked away not wanting to admit the truth.
"What did you dream about Nawwu? Arhaan bhai sweeping you off your feet ? And was he wearing a shining armour?" Zaara continued teasingly.
At this point Nawal turned to her friend,"No it was nothing like that. I just saw him."
"Well I won't force you if you do not wish to say."
