The cool,refreshing , gentle,breeze wide open its considerate arms to welcome
the beautiful morning maiden! She walked into its welcoming embrace with soft,
gentle steps.Then the birds sang their enchanting melodies ,and the atmosphere
delighted & rejoiced upon her arrival that chased away the dominion of darkness!!
It marked the beginning of another hopeful day in the metropolitan city of Mumbai!!!
The bright glow of the lovely morning smoothly entered through a fully
open window and lit up the entire atmosphere of the quaint,cozy bedroom!
There,upon the bed,a petite,young girl lay in her nightgown still not in the mood
to leave her comfy bed and get to work like most folks of the city!!!
Infact it was quite unlike her,......usually her day started with a hurry,almost
jumping off the bed as soon as the alarm went off in order to catch the earliest bus
possible to reach her workplace in time.But today was different...she had taken
some days off work to relax & prepare for a special day.....
A special day which was on coming Friday......
The day she would be getting engaged on........
To the guy of her dreams.....!!!
Which was why she was still in bed now,as there was only a day left for Friday
& her considerate mom,and oh so beloved friends had threatened to lock her up
if she even dared to step out for work ...!!!!
Not that she was complaining though...sure she had initially protested but
Oh! How comfy and wonderful the bed feels early in the morning....!!!!!!
Especially if you have spent the night half awake and half dreaming!!!!!!
Even now,as the brightness lit up her room,signifying the well established
realm of the morning maiden, it didn't seem to bother her in the least...
Because she wasn't asleep at all.....
She was awake,yet her eyes were shut and a small smile played on her lips...
Enchanting & blissful thoughts had invaded her mind....thoughts that captivated
her sensitive heart & set it on an ecstatic journey of love.....thoughts that didnt
permit her to succumb to sleep yet something she could never get tired of....
Thoughts of him.....!!!
Slowly she arose,her thick long lashes pulling apart from their tight embrace
revealing her graceful smiling eyes.....there was a faraway dreamy look in those
graceful eyes of hers!
Sitting up on the bed ,she placed her arms around her knees and rested her
head on them sideways.Her dreamy gaze fell on the maroon diary that was placed
on the bedside table.Her diary!
With a smile ,she extended her elegant hands and took hold of the diary,
gently & carefully removing a photograph from between its pages......
Even though it was just a picture ,yet it took her breath away, colouring her
cheeks a beautiful shade of pink,and making her fingers tremble as they held it!
It was as though,he was looking at her,as if he could see her,as if it wasn't a
picture at all,but him standing before her...with that same heart warming tender
smile,affectionate love filled gaze,those mesmerising hazel eyes staring right into
hers.....piercing through her very soul....
