Jungkook's POV:

Tae and I walk downstairs for breakfast. Mrs. Chin is doing some cleaning and looks over to us.

"Mr. Jungkookie, I didn't know you were awake this early. " She smiles and goes directly into the kitchen ahead of us. "Let me cook your breakfast." She washes her hands and begins pulling items out of the cabinets.

"Good morning, Mrs. Chin. Please don't fuss," I tell her. "Tae's home today and he's going to make me some pancakes." Tae makes the effort and smiles. So far so good.

"I'll make Mr. Jungkook's breakfast, Mrs. Chin. Thank you, but I've got this." Mrs. Chin pauses and looks at me as if she's heard something absurd.

"Mr. Tae, cook?" She then pins Tae a look. "No, no I don't want you to chip your manicure." Tae's smile slides off his face quickly. And it was a that moment I knew shit was about to hit the fan.

"Mrs. Chin, I'm cooking breakfast for Kookie and myself and you don't need to be concerned about my manicure." Mrs. Chin proceeds as if she didn't hear a word Tae said and is already in the refrigerator pulling out eggs, milk, and bacon. I see fire ignite in Tae's eyes and know, for Mrs. Chin's safety, I'd better step in.

"Uh, Mrs. Chin, Tae will be making my pancakes and I'd love it if you'd make me a hot bowl of your special recipe oatmeal." The corners of Mrs. Chin's lips pull upward.

"Ohh, my special recipe oatmeal that I've been making for you before you were walking and --"

"He's not a child. He's a grown man." Tae snaps and Mrs. Chin doesn't miss a beat responding.

"Goodness knows, someone around here needs to look out for Mr. Jungkookie when you're gone from sunup to sundown." What, I think I underestimated Mrs. Chin. She has some quick comebacks.

"What!?" Tae rolls his eyes. Oh God, I need a solution, or it will be world war three in this kitchen.

"Tae, you make my pancakes and Mrs. Chin will make my special oatmeal that I love."

"Oh, you don't love my pancakes?" Tae asks with daggers in his eyes and placing both hands on his hips. Shit! Think, Kookie, think.

"Babe, I love them both equally." Lord, please save my ass with these two kitchen warriors. "So, how's that? My two favorites. So yummy," I say, stepping in between the two of them.

"Fine," Tae huffs.

"Fine," Mrs. Chin huffs.

They both go about their busy work of preparing breakfast. They don't talk to each other, and I could cut the tension with a knife. I'd like some orange juice, but that might turn into a wrestling match. But then my savior arrives. Jae Jin walks into the kitchen. When he sees Tae and Mrs. Chin, he immediately turns to leave. Oh, hell no.

"JJ, come join me for breakfast. Please!" He starts to back away from seeing the scene before him.

"No, I'm good." Tae looks up and smiles.

"JJ, I'm making my famous pancakes that you love," Tae adds, tossing a chilly glance over to Mrs. Chin."

"Humph!" Mrs. Chin says in a low groan. Tae knows that was her way of dismissing his pancakes and he loudly places a pan on the stove. I'm relieved he did that instead of hitting her over the head.

"Mr. JJ, you like my pancakes, don't you?" Mrs. Chin asks as Tae's head jets up with eyes frozen on JJ. The room becomes quiet. I'm just happy the focus now is not on me. JJ squirms a few seconds before speaking.
