Tae and I mostly spend the next two days alone with short visits from dad and Lisa. JJ spends a few days with Chany. Tae calls him and asks him to come because he misses him at home. And on the morning of day three, I prepare to return to work. I had planned to stay longer with Tae but he's kind of kicking me out the door.

Tae has nearly returned to himself. "Kookie, I'm going to make my guys breakfast."

"Tae, are you ready for that?"

"Breakfast? Kookie," Tae chuckles. "You're too cute but I can manage breakfast and this house," he chuckles.

"Sorry, Tae, I can't help it."

"It's okay, babe." Tae says and changes the topic.

"How was the staff party?"

"Oh, Tae, it was going great and then..." Tae smiles knowing I don't want to mention the incident.

"Tae, it went well, and everyone was happy. You were right. They needed a thank you party. We leaned on them hard over the four months and they delivered.

"I got all of the wonderful cards Tae Juan sent me."

"What?"

"Namjoon gave them to me. Everyday he'd wait outside of Namjoon's office for him to arrive just to ask how I was doing. He's so sweet. Wait a minute, Kookie." Tae runs upstairs and returns with a beautifully wrapped gift.

"This is for Tae Juan."

"What!? Tae Juan?"

"Yes, Tae Juan. He's been wonderful through this whole horrible situation Kookie." I meant to give this to him before and then—"

"I know, Tae. You don't need to speak of it."

"Kookie, we will need to speak of it someday," Tae says softly touching my arm. "But not today," he says, and I let out a silent breath of relief. I just can't go there and maybe never. I quickly veer the conversation back to Tae Juan.

"Tae, it's Tae Juan's job to do everything he did, and he loves your pants and uhm your shirts too." Tae giggles.

"Kookie, it's more than that. He's a good man and he cares." I gasp.

"Oh no! Should I be worried!?"

"Kookie, just give this to him. There's a card in there to let him know how much I appreciate his support. He always smiled and had a kind word for me. Even when I was doing my best to be brave, somehow he knew it. He had genuine concern. I could tell." Tae swallows and his eyes become glossy. "I was in his office the other day and—"

"Tae, are you having an affair with my chief executive?"

He blurts out a laugh. "Kookie, you're too funny. He was showing me his photos of his adult children and his first grandchild. Born 2 months prior." Tae smiles lovingly.

"Did you know that, Kookie?"

"No, Tae, I did not."

"Why not, Kookie? He's a good man."

"I should've known," I say and concede by bowing my head.

"Kookie, he's this smart man and can barely work his cell phone. He was too funny. I showed him how to work his camera so he can take pictures of the new grandbaby. We took a few selfies together and I had one of them framed. That's his gift."

"Oh, God, Tae, I won't get a morsel of work out of him the rest of the day."

"His little crush is cute. I saw his family pictures and not one was of his wife, Kookie," Tae says sadly. He hates to see people in unhappy relationships.
