Tae's POV

I'm up early and slide out of bed, leaving my fiancé to rest. I need coffee, I think, entering the penthouse kitchen. I start the coffee maker and stare out onto the beautiful river view below. It's been three weeks of nothing but bliss with Kookie in our penthouse paradise. We have one week left before we return to South Korea, and I'd be lying if I said I was ready to leave the sanctuary of our home away in the sky.

I pour my coffee and go out onto the expansive terrace. It's cloudy with partial sun. It's going to warm up later, however there's a chill in the air with a gentle breeze. I grab a blanket and wrap myself up snuggly before sitting on a plushy lounge sofa. I place two decorative pillows behind me and raise my feet. Nice.

Once I get comfortable, I make an early morning call.

"Hi Tae, you're up early."

"I was restless Chim. I needed to get up and move some. Anyway, how are you?"

"I'm good and excited about coming for dinner tonight."

"Me too." I smile at the thought of being with my best friend as it comforts me. But there's also an underlying sadness because our time here will soon end.

"What time should Yoongi and I arrive?" He asks excitedly.

"How about 6:00 pm?"

"So, what's going on Tae?"

"I'm okay."

"I know you too well, so what's going on?"

"I could never hide shit from you."

"Hell no, you couldn't, so talk bitch!"

"We're returning home in one week, and I'm not sure I want to go."

"Tae, you love your life in South Korea, and you both have worked hard to build a good life there." He says with a bit of scolding in his tone.

"But I like it here. It's just us two, no one else."

"Yes Tae, it's called a vacation. No worries and no problems. What's triggering this for you?" His voice is soft with compassion.

"Chim, I'm scared that we might lose each other again." My voice cracks.

"Look you're both aware of what happened before and have learned from it. So, you'll be watching for the signs. Talk to Jungkook and share your feelings. That man would move heaven and earth for you."

"You're right." I nod to his advice. "I want to tell you something I've not told you before."

"Okay, I'm listening."

"A few times when Kookie came home from work, I was tired and pretended to be asleep. I didn't want to talk or have sex. I'm a terrible partner." Jimin laughs. "Why are you laughing?"

"Cause your ass is funny. What you're talking about is normal. What's not normal is believing that hiding out in your penthouse is a normal life." I chuckle.

"I'll talk to Kookie later and share my feelings."

"Tae, there's no such thing as a perfect relationship unless you're shacked up in a penthouse with a hot billionaire who loves you madly." He chuckles.

"And your point is?"

"My point is who in their right mind would want to leave that?"

"I now get your point, and thank you."

"Sounds like you need a little therapy my friend." My spirit immediately lifts.

"Hell yeah, retail therapy, bitch!"
