Jungkook's POV

"One for you and one for you," Tae says as he passes out our desserts. His phone dings. That's an email I think from work. I need to check it. As Jin and I dig into our cheesecakes, he focuses on his phone.

"Oh my God, this is great, Tae." Tae's lost in his email and doesn't say anything.

"Didn't I tell you that you did not want to miss this?" Jin nods with a mouth full of food.

"I got an email from Cousin Joy. It's about the wedding." Tae smiles big welcoming some good news. He starts to read it out loud. "Here are the details for the upcoming Jeon Wedding." Tae looks up and his eyes show bewilderment. "I strongly recommend you follow this guide. Thanks, Cousin Joy." The room goes silent. "This bitch has a location for our wedding, the guest list, and a fuckin list of who should not be invited. I can't believe I'm reading this!" Tae just shakes his head. The fuck, she also has listed the menu, entertainment, the flowers, appropriate decorations, wedding colors, and the goddamn wedding cake." Oh shit, this is bad. Cousin Joy has planned Tae's and my wedding, without Tae's input.

"How fuckin dare that bitch?!" He shouts.

"Tae, it's okay."

"No, Kookie, it's not okay! What the fuck!" I've seen Tae like this before and it's not good. "She has also gone as far as to select a different date and all the prewedding activities!"

"She even picked what we will wear! Ugh!"

Jin walks over to his friend. "Welcome to the Jeon family. You and Kookie didn't attend her black-tie event two weeks ago."

"No, Jin, we needed to meet with Jae and Hobi. It was more important. I gave her ample notice and our apologies. She said she understood," an angry Tae says.

"This is payback. She's flexing her power, Tae."

"Power?"

"Yes, Tae. She controls the Jeon family. You're marrying a Jeon. Kookie will be the most powerful Jeon because of the combination of his dad's and mother's name and wealth. The Jeons are like Korean Royalty, but more ruthless. Their weddings are all arranged. Because Kookie is powerful, they can't stop anything. But what she will do is make sure not one Jeon attends your wedding if you don't do it her way." Tae's eyes burn like red hot embers.

"They tried it with my wedding to Namjoon. I was devastated. Kookie's mom stepped in and I had a big Jeon family wedding with all the honors and notoriety we deserved. But she couldn't stop the looks, snubs, and other inappropriateness aimed at me."

"This is a mess! The Jeon Wedding!? What happened to the Jeon-Kim Wedding! I will not be dissolved! What about my family? This is too offensive!"

"Tae, babe. We don't need that bitch and the rest of that family trash. Fuck them!" Tae's face scrunches up as his eyes fill with tears.

"B-But it's my wedding, Kookie, and it's supposed to b-be special." His voice cracks. "You promised, Kookie!" Tae bursts into tears and runs upstairs. My heart drops into my stomach and I have lost my appetite.

"Tae, wait," I call to him as he runs into the bedroom and the door slams. I place my dessert plate aside and start to go after him.

"Kookie, wait. He needs to be alone." Jin says and I stop with one foot on the stairs.

"Damn that Joy! I can't let this stand! This family is a fuckin mess. They need to be sorted out!" I say pacing the floor, seething with anger.

"Then sort them out, Kookie."

"What?"

"Kookie, your dad is the true head of the family now and he's turned his back on them all. But with him, you, and Namjoon, you can sort them out. The only reason Joy can do this is because there's been no leadership since Namjoon's dad died and Joy slithered in to fill the void."
