Author's POV

"Mia, why am I being called into this meeting? I didn't see a memo and ..." Teoki looks around the conference room table and halts seeing the other three people at the table.

"Minyong, why are you here?"

"Teoki, Mia asked me to come. This requires legal services," Minyong, an older woman, says diverting her eyes to her legal pad

"What requires legal?" Teoki's eyebrows pull together.

Teoki then turns his head and sees Mr. Ja and Mr. Mitu, his newest business partners. His brows pull together tighter as his jaw slacks for a few seconds.

"Sit down Teoki. Please," Mia says with a flattened expression and firm voice. In front of her is a stack of documents.

Teoki sneers and lowers himself into his executive leather chair at the head of the table. "What is this about, Mia!?" He charges.

"It's about protecting this company," Mia pauses and leans forward. "from you."

"What the hell are you talking about and why are they here!?"

Before Mia can speak, the older man Mr. Ja comments. "We were called in for a vote," he says. Gone is his friendly smiled that he shared so easily a week ago at Teoki's office. "We didn't expect to be needed so soon but we are here to serve. In the best interest of Triton of course. We only own one percent of Triton, however that gives us a voice."

"What the hell does that mean!?" Teoki spits.

"It means exactly what my partner said. What's best for Triton and it doesn't appear it's you," Mr. Mitu the young man says, with a slight upward curl on the left side of his lip.

"How dare you talk to me like that! You're in my house!" Teoki rages.

"In business, it's never a good sign to walk into a meeting where everyone around the table got the memo except you," Mr. Mitu speaks followed by a scoff.

"Mr. Mitu, thanks for reminding me why you're still a dick," Teoki says with furrowed eyebrows. The younger man nods as to say thank you. The blood in Teoki's veins creates an inferno of heat under his skin.

"This is my company! Will someone tell me what the fuck is going on!?" He grips the chrome arm handles of his leather chair as if he'll rip them off.

"Teoki, it has come to our attention that you have broken several bylaws of this company and demonstrated many accounts of behavior unfitting for the office of CEO. You have –"

"What the fuck is this? What proof?"

"Teoki, before you attempt to defend yourself, let me finish," Mia swallows and steadies herself. She knows that she's doing the right thing for Triton and for Teoki. "You are no longer able to lead Triton. In fact—"

"What's the goddamn proof? I don't know what you—"

"The Jeon Corporation and the deal and the Hoseok merger." Teoki's face pales as he slowly goes limp.

"Teoki, you should not have been leading this company for years," Mia says calmly.

Teoki suddenly snorts out a laugh and sits forward resting his elbows on the table. "Is this a fucking takeover? Why would you—"

"Teoki, you have led with a cruel fist. It was not your father's way. And you have also not been well. The decisions you have been making don't align with Triton's mission."

"What? Dad?" A dazed Teoki says shaking his head as if he's found a memory. "W-What do you mean not well?"

"Teoki, I recently found out that you have not seen Dr. Yu for more than a year. That was part of our agreement and –"
