The Honeymoon
_______3 months later
The sounds of moans and grunts filled the atmosphere as she rode me. The bed creaking as the headboard pounded into the wall.
It had officially been 3 months since Eden, and I had been officially married. We decided to take some time to ourselves and spend our honeymoon in Venice.
"Yes. . ." She moaned out as she gripped onto the sheets, tilting her head back with pleasure.
Eden thought it would be a good idea to continue to lie low for a few more months since her father was still trying to slither his way back into her, our lives. The both of us thought that turning him in and going into witness protection was the best way to escape him, but we were both wrong.
I didn't trust him, and I made sure to remind Eden of that.
"Hunter, you're not even remotely focused right now, are you?" Eden questioned me as she looked at me, completely unimpressed and unamused.
"What?" I questioned her as I pulled myself out of my thoughts and met her gaze.
"See what I mean?" She said as she sighed and climbed off of me—onto the other side of me. "Are you seriously thinking about him Hunter while we're having sex or at least trying to have sex?" She questioned me as she pulled the sheets over her exposed naked body.
"We've talked about this multiple times before; he is not able to get to us."
"I'm not worried about him—not at the moment anyway and neither should you."
"Eden, I can't help, but to worry about him—quite frankly that's all I can do at the moment is to worry about him so forgive me if I can't focus on anything else, but him." I said out of frustration as I sighed deeply while running my hand through my hair.
Events of the first encounter of meeting Eden's father started to replay in my head like a movie scene on repeat.
"He is my father remember, I am pretty sure that I know what he is and isn't capable of." She said as she continued to speak with certainty.
I chuckled under my breath as those words left her mouth.
"That's pretty ironic, don't you think?" I questioned her as I looked at her. "Because—if I remember correctly, he kidnapped me without your knowledge, ran drugs through your company without your knowledge, and let's not forget the most important part you thought he was dead for the majority of your life."
"So no, I don't think you know what he is and isn't capable of." I said as I continued to look at her.
"You are being a complete asshole right now, Hunter." She said as she looked at me with a frustrated expression. "And since you want to bring up the past and dwell on it, let's discuss how you were the one who kept those things from me, remember?" She questioned me as she laughed, sarcastically.
