"I'm sorry Baby, Me and your Dad can't really make it. The flight has been cancelled due to heavy rains." Boses ng Ina ni Elaine na si Mrs. Celestina Sandoval.

Kasalukuyang na sa New York ang kanyang mga magulang dahil sa anniversary celebration ng dalawa. Her father, Teodore Sandoval is the Vice President of T.W corporation that is producing the construction supplies for the whole country.
Nangako ang mag-asawa na darating ang mga ito sa kanyang kaarawan subalit hindi na nga raw matutuloy dahil sa bagyo na kasalukuyang nanalasa sa New York.

"Well, I guess we can't do anything about it. Your both safety is more important right now." Nalulungkot man dahil magsi-celebrate siya ng kanyang 19 years birthday na mag-isa, hindi niya pa rin pwedeng pilitin ang panahon na payagan ng makauwi ang mga magulang.

"I'm sorry my Baby.." Puno ng lungkot ang boses ng kanyang Ina habang nagsasalita.

Hindi niya maitatanggi na sobrang mahal siya ng kanyang mga magulang dahil nag-iisang anak lang siya ng mga ito. Kahit pinalaki siyang sunod sa layaw, nananatiling down to earth si Elaine. At maaring dahil 'dun kaya lalo siyang napalapit sa buong Pamilya ng Sandoval.

"It's fine, Mom. There's no need to apologize. Tatawagan ko na lang si Lucas para pansamantala akong mag-stay sa private resort niya sa Boracay. He's not in town so maybe he'll allow me to stay there." Sagot niya sa Ina.

Lucas Bright, his one of her close friends na masasabi niyang kapatid ang turing sa kanya. His family is both American but he choose to stay in the Philippines when he visited the country one time. He even told her that he wants to marry a Filipina someday.

"Are you sure, you're not mad at your Mom?" Mukhang nag-aalala ito kung mag-tatampo na siya.

Well, this the first time na nangyaring wala ang mga magulang sa kanyang kaarawan but she doesn't feel anything against them. She loves them so much to the point that she might lose her own life if they left her for real.

"I'm not, Im already an adult to act like that. I now can understand the situation so stop worrying too much. I love you both so maybe you guys should continue your anniversary date instead." Sagot niya dito.

Tomorrow is her birthday, Her plan is to celebrate with her parents but unfortunately it'll never gonna happen so she needs to change plans. And Lucas is her next choice.

"Ahh.. Mom and Dad missed you so much. I love my Baby. This Typhoon is getting on my nerves." Wika pa ng kanyang Ina.

Napa-ngiti si Elaine. How lucky of her to have this kind of a mother? She really is lucky..

"I missed you too both. I'm sorry but I have to end this call now. I need to contact Lucas." Paalam niya sa Ina.

"Hnnng.. Alright. Then please take good care of your self. Mom will buy anything for you before getting back there! And tell Lucas to grant your wish for me." Sabi pa nito.. "I love you my daughter, bye-bye!".

" I love you too, Mom."

Pinutol niya ang linya after those words and dial Lucas number. Hindi na rin siya nag-hintay ng matagal at sinagot din ng lalake ang tawag niya.

"Elaine.." His voice sounds hoarse.

"Did I interrupt your doings?" She asked.

"No! Am just resting for a bit. What's up?"

"I'm sorry about that but, I need your permission to stay at your private resort to celebrate my birthday tomorrow." Mabilis niyang paliwanag.

"Oh my God! It's your birthday tomorrow! I forgot!" Mukha ngang nakalimutan nito ang birthday niya.
