" I want you to meet my family " Emmett said as I picked out something to eat for breakfast. My family was going to be gone this entire weekend for something to do with the council.
" Already? " I asked with a small chuckle as I placed the items on the table. I sat down on the chair and almost immediately Emmett reached out and dragged my chair closer to him.
" I want them to meet the woman I love " He said happily and my heart almost jumped out of my chest. I could literally feel my entire face become red.
" Okay, when? " I asked and started to eat my breakfast.
" Today " He said casually and I almost spit my food out.
" Today? Are you crazy? That's not a lot of time to prepare " I said and started to get stressed.
" Relax Madeleine! " He said and rubbed my leg trying to calm me down.
" And you'll get to meet my brother's new girlfriend as well " He said with a small smile.
" Which brother? "
" Edward " He said.
" That's nice " I said and continued to eat my breakfast.
" What time are we meeting your family? " I asked.
" At 12:00 " He answered with happiness.
" Okay, I guess that's enough time "
I finished up my food and did the dishes. After that I jumped in the shower, while Emmett waited in my room. I dried off and put on my clothes, a knee length grey dress with tights and with heels as usual. I did some light makeup and fixed my hair and I was done in under 30 minutes.
I walked up to my room and saw that Emmett was looking at some of the pictures I had on my nightstand.
" This is your family? " He asked still staring at them.
" Yes " I answered and stood beside him wondering what he was thinking.
" You had a dog? "
" Yes, Agnes! But she passed away a year ago, we had her since I was 8 months old " I said smiling at the memories of my girl.
" She became 16 years old? "
" Almost " I answered
After a few moments of silence Emmett turned to face me.
" Are you ready to go? " He asked.
" As ready as I'll ever be " I said. I was really nervous for this. Both with the fact that I'm meeting a boys family but also I'm going to be in a house full of vampires that didn't really want me to know about them.
" Then let's go Madeleine " He said and grabbed my hand.
