Chapter TWENTYFIVE

I was woken up by the alarm that Paul had set yesterday evening. I walked up to it and turned it off, I pulled on my tights and stole one of Paul's shirts as I couldn't be bothered to wear a dress today. My makeup was still fine even tho I had slept in it. I brushed my hair with one of Paul's combs. I dreaded today, knowing I had to go home and the fact that I would probably have to deal with my friend's comments about how I was looking today.

I took one last glance at Paul who had been sleeping the entire time since I woke up. I grabbed my phone and checked it to see I had dangerously low battery. I sighed and walked out to my car and drove to school. It took a bit longer to drive to school and I became stressed. After awhile I parked my car and saw that most of the school's pupils were outside talking.

I saw my group of friends standing on the left and Emmett and his family plus Bella standing on the right. I groaned and stepped out of the car and locking it. I walked just a couple of steps towards the entrence when my friends yelled out.

" Madeleine, here! " They yelled and beckoned me to come to them. I turned slightly to the right and saw Emmett looking at me with sad eyes.

" Madeleine? Come on what the hell are you waiting for? " Lauren yelled out clearly annoyed.

And in that moment I did something that would possibly ruin things even more for me but I needed him. I walked towards Emmett with quick steps and almost jumped into his arms, hugging him tightly. He wrapped his strong, cold arms around me as well. I breathed out a sigh of relief and felt myself becoming less worried and scared the moment I felt him in my arms.

" Emmett " I whispered out against his chest.

" Madeleine " He whispered back.

" What the actual hell is she doing? " Lauren screamed out ferociously. But I didn't care, I was with Emmett now. I knew I would be fine. I would always be fine.

We pulled apart and I immediately locked my gaze with his.

" What happened? " He asks with confusion.

" Nothing important, you're here now so everything is fine " I answered weakly .

He grasped my face carefully and kissed my head.

" Let's go " Edward said as the bell rang and smiled slightly at us. Bella had her arm wrapped around his arm as we walked inside. Emmett grasped my hand and Alice and Jasper walked beside each other and Rosalie was at the back giving people angry looks.

I turned my head slightly to look at my friends, they look extremely angry and confused. But it didn't matter, they shouldn't get to rule my life. I was happy, that was all that mattered.
