Chapter TWENTYONE

We walked up some wooden stairs and he pulled me into what I think is his room. Posters of motorcycles and cars was placed around the walls. A big tv and a stereo was pushed against the wall. A sofa was also in his room but no bed.

" No bed? " I asked while looking around his room more.

" No we don't sleep " He said and rubbed the back of his neck.

" Never? " I asked confused.

" Yeah never " He said and chuckled.

" What have you been doing when I'm sleeping then? " I asked still about confused about the whole no sleep thing.

" I watch you sleep or go home and freshen up! " He answered and sat down on the sofa.

" You watch me sleep? " I said and chuckled nervously.

" That's not a pretty sight Emmett "

" It is, you look so peaceful " He answered back. I rolled my eyes and continued to look around his room. The way his room was decorated didn't surprise me, it was just as I had imagined it to be.

" Is it really hard for Jasper that me and Bella are here? " I asked after a while.

" A little bit but he's getting better and better, school works fine as long as he's not completely alone " He answered and walked to stand beside me as I admired his small collection of cd's.

" I just don't want to make him uncomfortable in his own home " I said.

" It's okay, he wanted to meet you guys officially " He said with a small laugh.

" He did? " I asked confused.

" Yes he said he wanted to meet the women who made his brothers happy " He said and looked at me with a smile.

" I make you happy? " I asked and looked back at him.

" I'm the happiest I've ever been Madeleine " He said matter of factly. I smiled back and hugged him. He tensed up a little as usual but hugged me back quickly. He kissed the top of my head and I hugged him even tighter.

We pulled away after a while and just stared at each other.

We talked for a long while on his sofa and he told me a lot of things about himself and his family. Like how Edward could read everyone's thoughts and that I should be careful not to tell him all my secrets accidentally.

And how Alice could see the future, which both shocked me and didn't shock me. The vibe I had gotten from her was that she wasn't a "normal" vampire, I felt like there was definitely something special with her.

" Did she see me and Bella coming? " I jokingly asked.

" She saw Bella but not you " He answered.

" Why? "

" We don't know, it's weird that Edward's gift works on you but not on Bella, and how Alice's gifts doesn't work on you but works on Bella " He said with a laugh.

" That's a bit weird" I said and laughed as well.

" Do you have any gifts? " I asked.

" Not really, tho I am stronger that most vampires " He said deep in thought.

" I can certainly tell " I said and laughed once again, Emmett joined in as well.

" Do you need to go home? " He asked after he had looked at the clock, 02:39. It was really late.

" I don't need to go home now but maybe I should " I said.

" Okay, let's go! I will drive you home "
