Chapter THIRTYTWO

I slammed open the door too my house and walked in with confident steps. My grandma stood in the hallway already, she was probably waiting for me.

" Now you decide to make your entrance? " She said in a scary calm voice.

" Imagine your mother's worry when she went to pick you up at ballet practice and you weren't there. And even more so when you hadn't been inside the building for practice " She said and scoffed.

" Move out of my way " I said and brushed past her up to my room.

" Madeleine Aurora James, don't speak like that to your grandmother " She shrieked out.

I ignored her and went into my room and locked the door. Emmett was already there packing some of my stuff. My entire body was shaking, both from the situation and because I was scared of my grandma.

" It's going to be okay " Emmett said and grabbed my face. He kissed me quickly and caressed my face.

" I love you Madeleine " He said and ushered me to go downstairs again. I took my bag and unlocked my door, there stood my mother with uncertainty. I just rolled my eyes and walked downstairs. Grandma stood still in the same place as before.

" And where do you think you're going? " Grandma said.

" Away from you " I said.

" And why would you need to do that? Is that boy sticking ideas into your head? " She said and started to get more worked up.

" He's not just a boy, and no he's not sticking ideas into my head " I said getting irritated.

" I can't stay in a place where my family doesn't love me " I yelled and my mother burst out in tears, while my grandma walked towards me and slapped me across my face.

My heart broke a little more, I opened the door and walked outside where my car was running. I was very much surprised but I jumped inside anyways. Emmett must have found the car keys. I backed out of the driveway and drove away.

Tears was streaming down my face and my cheek was burning. The car shocked violently for a few seconds and I looked to the side and say Emmett. He opened the car door and switched with me so he was driving. Once he sat down he grabbed my hand and caressed it.

" Your mother is going to forgive you " He said in an attempt to make me feel slightly better.

" I don't think so, none of them are " I said and the tears stopped. My cheek continued to burn but I didn't dare touch it. Emmett didn't say anything about it, probably because he knew I couldn't take it right now.

He pulled up into the driveway of his home and the garage doors opened. There was one place left inside the garage that I knew was usually filled.

" I had two cars in here before, so I moved one to have a space for yours " He said casually and I smiled slightly.

We got out of the car and the rest of the family stood there including Bella. Bella walked over to be and wrapped her arms around me in a careful hug.

" It's going to be okay, Bella " I said and squeezed her before she removed herself from me to stand beside Edward again.

" So what's the plan? " Jasper said.

" We need to kill him " Edwards said.

" Ripping him apart and burning him " Emmett continued.

" I don't like the thought of killing someone " Carlisle said and Esme caressed his arm slightly.

" It's the only way to stop him " Jasper chimed in.

" We need to get Madeleine and Bella out of here " Emmett said

" Me and Emmett will take them away to the city " Edward said looking around at the rest of the family.

" No " Carlisle said.

" James knows that you won't leave them, it's better if someone else's takes them " Carlisle continued.

" Me and Jasper will take them " Alice said and started to gathered some stuff into a car.

I turned to Emmett with fear, I didn't want to leave him. Emmett pulled me closer to him and connected our foreheads together.

" It's will be okay Madeleine , you're safe with them " He said quietly.

" What about you? What if something happens to you? I couldn't take that " I said truthfully.

" Nothing will happen to me Madeleine " He said with confidence and brought me to the car I was supposed to go in. He opened the car door and helped me get inside. I pulled the car window down and looked at him. He bent down to my eye level and grabbed my face.

" You're my life, You're my everything! I will not let him hurt you! " He said with sincerity

" I love you so much Madeleine, we'll see each other soon again, I promise " He said and kissed me softly one last time before we were leaving.

" I love you too Emmett " I said and he pulled away. The car started to move but I continued to look at Emmett who didn't move an inch. I started back at him until I couldn't see him anymore. My heart hurt knowing I wasn't going to see him for a while. I leaned back in my seat and brought the car window back up.

Bella reached over and grabbed my hand. I looked over at her and saw that she was just as worried as I was.

" We'll see them again " She said quietly but her voice broke. She pulled away and tried to compose herself. I placed my hand on my heart and felt the way it was pumping. I counted my heartbeats until I could feel them slowing down.

I closed my eyes and hoped to disappear for just a few moments.
