Alex POV - one week later
"Sawyer! You have to get up! It's almost 730!" I yell, walking by her room.
I walk into Noah's room and see him waiting in his bed.
"Morning, Noah!"
I pick him up and he kisses my cheek.
"Morning momma!"
I smile and carry him to Quinn's door and knock.
"Go away!" I hear.
'Two grumpy kids this morning.'
"You have to get up, get ready to go to school."
"I'm not going!" She yells.
I sigh, "Can you go get your sister, buddy?"
He nods and I watch him wander to Sawyer's room, opening the door.
I sigh and crack open Quinn's door, "Come on Q. One day left in the week plus it's fun Friday."
"I don't care about fun Friday! I don't want to go!"
I sigh and push the door open and walk in.
She pulls her covers over her head and I smile.
'So much like Sawyer.'
"Okay. What's really going on? You love fun Friday because it means games and candy." I say.
Silence.
"Come on Quinn, the school year is almost over too."
"Yeah and then it's a new school." She mumbles.
'New school, new people, trust issues.'
I walk closer and sit on her bed, "Hey, I know it's going to be a new school, but it'll be okay. We will go together and meet your teachers, the social worker, and anyone else that you'll encounter."
She pulls the covers off, "I might not even be living here when school starts so don't make promises that you can't keep!"
My eyes widen, "Q, that's not-"
She sits up and walks out of her room, I hear the bathroom door slam.
"True." I finish.
Serv walks in, "What was that about?"
I hang my head, "Just Quinn, worried about her new school in the fall."
He nods, "Middle school, can't wait."
I smile and then frown, "She said she might not even be living with us."
He frowns, "What?"
I nod, "I mean, she isn't wrong, babe. She could get adopted, that is a very real possibility."
He stares at me, "I don't want her to get adopted by anyone else."
I feel a smile creep onto my face, "Well, let's talk to Liz. And we will need to talk to Sawyer."
He smiles widely and nods enthusiastically.
I chuckle.
Quinn walks back into her room, "Get out."
I stare at her and she whines, "Please! Please get out of my room so that I can get dressed."
I sigh, "Okay. We will meet you downstairs."
Serv walks out and heads downstairs and I walk towards Sawyer's room.
I push open the door and smile when I see Noah curled up with Sawyer in her bed.
