Alex POV - day before the World Cup final

I look down and see Sawyer passed out, drooling.

I push her hair out of her face and sigh.

My alarm starts ringing and she groans.

I shut it off and start scratching her scalp.

"Time to wake up, baby." I whisper.

She groans and whines then turns over on her stomach, burrowing into my side.

"I know. But you have a walkthrough. Big game tomorrow." I say.

She picks her head up, "So sleepy."

I bob my head up and down, "I know. I'm going to sleep in your room with you tonight, see if that will help."

She yawns and nods, "Kay."

She slowly sits up and my phone buzzes.

Bree: hey, I'm downstairs

I watch as Sawyer shakes out her body and Maverick pops up.

"Bree is downstairs, baby, so let's get a move on."

She grabs her parent's rings and fidgets with them.

I sigh and stand up, "What's going on in your head, baby?"

She looks up and shrugs, "Hard to put into words."

I nod, "Okay. Just try to focus on the walkthrough."

She nods and we head down to the lobby.

Once we get there, she slumps into a couch and Bree looks at me.

"Yeah, so she napped, but then it was hard to get up."

Bree nods, "Well, it's just a walkthrough and maybe we can talk, right Sawyer?"

Sawyer looks up and gives her a thumbs up.

I smile and kneel down in front of her, "Alright, I'll see you later, baby. I love you."

"Love you too, momma." She breathes out and stands up.

I watch as her and Bree make it out of the hotel.

I sigh.

"Hey, uh, Alex?"

I turn and see Quinn.

"Yeah, babe, what's up?"

"Do you have another sketchbook?" She asks, looking down.

I smile, "Yeah, it's in my suitcase. I also have some of the pencils that you like."

She looks up, "Really?"

"Mhm. I knew you were getting close to needing new ones."

She stares at me and bites her lip and mumbles something.

"What did you say?" I ask.

She looks up, "I said that I love you."

My eyes widen and I smile, "Well, I love you too."

"Really?"

"Yeah, we all love you."

She bobs her head up and down, "Cool."

I chuckle, "Cool. Let's go upstairs and get that sketchbook."

I stand up and she launches her body into mine.

I smile and wrap my arms around her, savoring the moment.

She pulls away and grabs my hand, pulling me to the elevator, "Let's go!"
