Olivia's POV:

Today was Thursday, and the first day back to the stadium since we got back to Savannah. I got up and ready, and met Sav out in the living room. "Good Morning!" Sav yelled to me as she walked to the kitchen. She was way more of a morning person than I am. "Morning" I responded, still half asleep. Sav walked back into the living room from the kitchen looking at me. "Are you sure you're going to be okay working today?" I shook my head. "Yeah, I'm going to be fine. I just hope nobody asks me what was wrong over the weekend. If that happens, then I probably won't be okay." I went to put my shoes on since we were going to be leaving. "Okay, if you need me, just tell me. It's a good thing we work in the same department, so we'll be together all day." Sav walked over to grab her purse. We got to the stadium, and started our day.

I was walking around the stadium during a break we had. While walking around, I heard someone behind me yelling my name. I turned around, and was immediately greeted with a hug. When I let go, I looked up to see it was Garett. "Oh my gosh hi!" I gave him another hug, and he started laughing. "Hey Liv. It's good to see you and finally be back in Banana Land!" We continued to walk around the stadium catching up in the process. "So, why couldn't you come to Savannah at the beginning of the season?" We found some seats, and decided to sit down and talk. Garett sighed, and put his head down for a minute before responding. "My Grandpa was on hospice. We weren't sure how long he had left. He got really sick in the nursing home he was in, and got admitted to the hospital. He got better from being sick, but his body couldn't take much more after fighting off the sickness. The doctors told all of us to take in the time we had left with him. I promised him I would stay by his side until the end. That's exactly what I did, but he pleaded with me to come to Savannah right after his funeral. He knows how much I love the game. He was actually the one who got me into baseball. I kept my word. I left yesterday right after his funeral and here I am." I started crying while Garett was talking. Once he finished, I got off my chair and hugged him again. "Garett, I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sure it was extremely hard to go through all of that with your Grandpa. I'm here if you ever want to talk about him or anything." He hugged me back. I think he was trying not to cry. "Thanks Liv, I really appreciate that and you. How about you catch me up on everything that's been happening in Banana Land and your life." We sat and I filled Garett in on most of the things that have happened so far. I ended with the Kevin situation since Garett and I are so close. "Wow, I didn't think I would miss a lot but here we are. I'm sorry about everything with you and Kevin. To be honest, I never really liked him since last year when I met him." I started to laugh. "Well that seems to be something you and some of the other guys have in common. It's fine, we're done and he's not part of my life anymore. We should head down to the field, we're supposed to have a meeting soon." We both got up, and walked down to the field to meet some of the other players and staff who got there early.

We all had our meeting, and once it was over we started to get back to work. Sav and I went to walk off the field. We had to go up to the booths to have a creative team meeting. We heard someone yelling our names as we got to the stands. We both turned around to see Tanner coming over towards us. Sav must not have heard Tanner saying her name too since she turned and saw Collin. "I'll be right back." I turned to see her walking towards Collin. "Wait, no Sav don't leave-" It was already too late since she was over by Collin talking to him. I groaned as Tanner walked closer to me. "Hey, sorry did I catch you at a bad time?" I looked up at him. "Oh, no you're fine. What's up?" I noticed he put his hand on the back of his neck, and started rubbing it. "I just wanted to say thanks for giving those books to Dalt. He came home yesterday after being with you and gave them to me. I started reading the first book last night. I'm already about halfway through. I want to try to finish all three books, and the prequel before November. That's when you told me the movie comes out right? Maybe I could come up to Nashville and we could see it together? "
