Chapter Fifty six-"hes gonna be okay"

I walked into the cell Maggie was"Are you doing okay"She looked up at me with tears in her eyes"Im fine"She said holding her dad's hands I pulled up a chair and sat by her"Mind if I join you"She looked over at me"Sure"

We sat in the cell alone I slowly placed my hand on her back as Hershal snoring could be heard It was so quiet none of us said a thing but that was okay because all she needed to know was I was there for her I watched as she looked down at her father

I froze when his snoring stopped all together his belly stopped going up and down Maggie stood up in her spot I followed her action"Maggie-"she cut me off"No..."My lip started to shake Beth ran in"Whats happening"She asked with fear

"Do something"Beth cryed looking up at her sister as she held her dad Maggie looked down at her dad"Somebody help!"I snapped out of the shock I was in"Move!"Beth moved out of the way I placed my head on his heart I didn't hear anything

I looked down at Hershal"Hell no not today"I whispered more to myself I moved Hershal chin down and held his noise I leaned down and blew my air inro him hoping it would work"Whats going on!"Mom said coming into the room"Its Hershal"Carl said at the door

I moved from his head and started pushing down on his heart"Come on please"I begged I had to save him for Maggie I had to I ignored Beth's crying and moved back to Hershal mouth it was a damn good thing Hershal taught me this

I screamed when his hand went around me I was struggling to get away"No!"I felt hands pull me away Maggie's arms were around my waist I had tears in my eyes as I looked down at Hershal my back was prest against Maggie's fron Beth's hands were gripped on my arm

Hershal started snoring again I looked over at the door Carl had fear in his face as he held up his gun pointed right at Hershal"C-Carl its all right"Maggie let go of me as I walked up to him"A-Avery I thought"I closed my eyes tightly and pulled him in for a hug Carl sobbed into my shoulder as I croched down to his level

Glenn walked up to us with a Counfusd look on his face"what happened"I pulled away from Carl and looked up at Glenn"Hershal he stopped breathing he's okay now"I pulled Carl back into my shoulder

"I'm all right"Carl said pulling away"are you sure"He nodded wiping his tears"Im fine"I stood up from my spot"I need a minute"I walked out of the cell and up the steps I knew Glennwas behind me as I walked into are cell"Are you okay"

I turned around sobbing"That was so scary"I sobbed he pulled me in for a hug"Shh your all right"I put my hands around his waist"If he was a walker he could have bit my face off"Glenn pulled me away and looked at me"lets focus on the good news"I raised my eyebrow

"You saved him not the other you"I sniffed wiping my tears"Carl was so scared"I whispered as he pulled me into a hug again"Hes strong like his sister he'll be okay"I smiled pulling away from him"I need to get back"He nodded grabing my hand and leading me down the steps

I stood next to Maggie who had her arm around my waist I heard the door open"Hershel stopped breathing"Carl told whoever it was who came in I'm sure it's dad"Avery saved him"Dad handed Carl his gun"Its true"

Dad walked into the cell"Still not fever"mom told him at the end of the bed Dad placed a hand on my back as he stood next to me and Maggie looking down at Hershal Maggie bent down when Hershal started to say something I smiled looking down at him

I looked at the cell door and saw Daryl he nodded towards me I smiled and looked down at Hershal again it was so silent in the room as we looked down at him Glenn came up behind me and placed a hand on my hip as he looked down at Hershal

I gasped when Hershals eyes slowly started to open I never thought I would be so happy to see those beautiful eyes of his"Daddy"Maggie cryed looking down at him"Daddy"Beth said with a smile I sniffed trying to stop the tears

Dad unlocked the cuffs and a tear fell from my eye that I was trying to hold in Hershal looked around at all of us he held out his hand towards dad and he took it crouching down to his level he was okay he was really okay I held Beth's shoulders  as her arm went around Maggie

Glenns hand was on my back as he stood next to me I had a smile on my face We needed this Beth leaned down and maggie kissed her cheek even Carl had a smile on his face"Come here"Dad broght Beth to his spot and gave her Hershal hand he got up and walked out if the room

"Lets give them a minute"I said walking out of the cell everyone else followed"Hows she doing"Daryl asked pulling me to the side"Shes okay she wanted you here but I explained why you weren't"He nodded licking his lip"I wish I was here"I smiled up at him

"She knows that"I told him placing my hands in my back pocket"Thank you for being here for her when I wasn't"I spit in my hand and held it out to him"Anytime"He took my hand and shook it with a smile"Go see her"I said wiping off my extra spit on my pants

He nodded and walked into the cell I pasted the cell ans saw Maggie hugging him tears in her eyes I smiled and walked up to Glenn"This was all your doing"Glenn grabbed my hips"Me how"I asked as he took another step closer"You saved him Maggie wouldn't have her dad if it wasn't for you"Your right I saved him"

I pulled him down to my lips and moved my lips against his he felt so amazing my stress flew away from me as I closed my eyes my hands went to his hair"I love you"I said pulling my head away to look at his eyes"I love you more Angle"I looked down at his lips and back up at his eyes he leaned down and kissed me once again this is what I lived for my family.
