As I said in the last chapter I refuse to believe this is because of time travel their has to be another reason. And thanks to that scene in The Tournament Of The Elements when Jay was wearing makeup I have that reason.
The head cannon goes like this. So we all know that Jay wore makeup when he was hosting his show but what if he actually wore makeup all the time? And not just makeup but hair spray too.
Well that's exactly the case. He wears makeup to cover up his freckles and hair spray to get rid of his curls because as a kid he was made fun of because of it. Everyone at his school had called him a baby at least once.
He only stopped covering up his freckles and curls when Nya saw them one day and said they made him look even cuter. He hasn't worn makeup or put on hair spray ever since.
And just like Nya by The Sons Of Garmadon it was normal.
