Magnus sill remember the first time he saw James. Magnus knew about James, way before he actually got to see James. Magnus and Alecs' daily video calls covered almost everything happened in their day-to-day life at the universities. Magnus been the social butterfly he is, he was able to make new friends at university really quickly. He enjoyed the nightlife in London, he enjoyed the fact that he could drink even if he was not 21 and he enjoyed the London life to the fullest. It did pain him a lot when he saw Alec struggling with his university at the beginning. Even though Alec was undoubtedly one of the best-looking guys in the university, his glares and gloomy mood kept everyone on bay. So, when Alec finally told Magnus that he made a friend called James, Magnus was over the moon. Magnus enjoyed seeing Alec finally enjoying the uni life. He started going out more, he started getting new friends, and Alec even joined the basketball team and archery club to Magnuss surprise.
"Hey." Alec's sleepy voice sounded deep and raspy.
"Hey, sleepyhead. Did I wake you up?" Magnus cooed.
"No, no. I was waking up. I have some notes I need to go through before the lectures." Alec got up and rubbed his eyes to shoo away the sleepiness.
"Such a diligent student." Magnus chuckled.
"Hey!" Alec protested but had a smile on his face.
"I missed you so much yesterday." Magnus said as its been over 24 hours since they last spoke. Alec went on a road trip with James and his other friends just a week ago, and only on the previous day, they came back. Alec and Magnus could not find the right time to talk to each other, or when they did try to talk, connection would be bad. So they decided to talk after Alec got back to his accommodation. Two years into their uni, they have been struggling to find time to talk every day. It pained Magnus dearly that Alec seemed to spend more and more time with James as they share a lot of hobbies, but he didn't have the heart to complain about it. After all, Magnus wanted Alec to enjoy his uni life as much as possible.
"I missed you too, princess." Alec said as the smile left his face. Magnus smiled sadly as he could see that Alec didn't enjoy this as much as Magnus.
"I have a surprise for you." Magnus quickly changed the topic, so neither of them would start sobbing. Especially him. He might be 20, but he is still a cry-baby.
"Hmm?" Alec encouraged.
"Guess who is going to be in New York for summer?" Magnus ginned.
"No! Magnus?" Alec ruflled his hair as he quickly fixed his posture and sat down properly.
"Please, baby, please tell me you are not joking." Alec begged. His eyes were sparkling, and it seemed like he wanted to smile, but he was afraid to smile in case he jinxed it.
"I am not." Magnus smiled widely.
"Oh my god, OH MY GOD!!!! Alec jumped up screaming.
I can't believe this. I actually can't believe this. Oh my god, you are going to be here? You are actually going to be here?" Alec's sleepiness was all gone. He looked like an overexcited puppy.
"Yes, darling, yes! I am going to be there for summer and that means I am going to be there for three months."
"I am so happy, Magnus, I.. I just can't. I am soo happy, I.. I.."
"Shh.. I know, darling. I feel the same." Magnus felt as his heart grew three times bigger with his love for Alec.
As Magnus about to say something, both of them hear a knock on Alec's door.
"Give me a second princess." Alec put the phone on his desk and tried to fix his unruly hair just before opening the door.
"James?" Alec sounded surprised.
