Magnus felt as if he could finally breathe once he left Alec's apartment. Magnus looked up at the sky as he tried to understand just what exactly happened. How did thing go so bad between them? This is Alec he was talking about. His best friend, his soul mate, the one he could always depend on. Just what made things go so bad between them? Was Alec really oblivious to James's flirting? Or was Magnus himself just too sensitive and jealous? Oh, did they have really come to the end of their 20 years old friendship/relationship. Was this their way of going on each others way without making things too difficult for both of them?
"I need a drink." Magnus said to himself as he needed a distraction. He was sick of thinking about the same thing again and again and again. Just that night, he needed to be away from everything. Away from Alec, away from James, away from their families. Just away from anything that would make him think.
"Amen to that." Someone replied. Magnus didn't have to look back to realise who that was. He was not in a mood for Facey's games. So, he decided to just keep on walking forward till he found a bar that would sell alcohol to someone who is almost 21.
"Magnus!" When Magnus didn't stop as Facey expected, she started following him,
"Dude, wait!" Facey called out as Magnus didn't pay her no attention. Magnus closed his eyes and took a deep breath before turning back and facing Facey. He looked at Facey, who was observing him with a grin on her face.
"Listen, Facey. No offence, but I really need to be alone today. So, before I say anything that we both would regret, can you ignore me like you always do?"
"Come on, chill. I know we both have gotten off on the wrong foot, but maybe we can hang out and see where that goes?"
"There is nothing I need to see. I know enough. You are Alec and James's friend, and for God knows what reason, you despise me, and you wish Alec would end up with Jame instead with me." Magnus said his piece, and when Facey didn't say anything, he turned back and started walking again.
"Jesus, dude, wait."
"I am not your dude!" Magnus snapped at Facey.
"Okay, sorry, my bad. Magnus, yes, I am and Alec's friend, and yes, I kinda wanted to see James and Alec together, but I dont despise you. If that is how I came across, I really apologise." Now Facey had to almost run after Magnus was walking away sway from her way too quickly.
"Well, thank you for clearing the misunderstanding, and I think your dreams are going to come true soon, as Alec will soon end up with James. Lucky you." Magnus said sarcastically. Honestly, he wanted to get away from Facey, but she didn't seem to get the note as she kept on following.
"Come on, Magnus. I was just messing with you. Also, I am a bit pissed with you."
" A bit?" Magnus scoffed without looking back.
"You left Alec all alone in this country." Facey shut her mouth as Magnus stopped and turned back to her.
"Yes, I am the bad guy because I wanted to achieve the dreams I had since I was a kid. Oh no, wait! I did plan to study at NYU so I could be with my boyfriend, but I was told by my boyfriend to go and achieve my dreams and come back to him after 4 years. Also, this is between me and Alec. I really hope you will step away from our problem. You and James have brought more than enough problems to our relationship."
"What do you mean?" Facey asked as if she didn't know.
"What do I mean?" Magnus wanted to scream.
"Just.. just stop it, Facey. I need a drink. Unless you can show me a bar that would serve drinks to me, kindly piss off." Magnus turned around and started walking. Facey chuckled at Magnus's outburst. She let him walk aimlessly for a bit before running and holding into his hand.
