My claws extended as a growl rose in my throat, making me take a shaky breath before releasing it. "...Thank you for telling me. I'll speak to a few maids later."

Δείξε μου την αλήθεια — Show me the truth

Τους — Them

Ακολούθησέ με. Ακουσε με. — Follow me. Listen to me.

Two Hours Later

I slammed the door to the servant's hall open, causing a few maids to poke their heads out of their rooms. Instantly, they ducked into their rooms again as I stalked down the hall. 'Δείξε μου την αλήθεια.' My vision turned red as I stopped in the middle of the hall, listening to the souls before turning my head to the left. 'On this side?' I faced the wall and slowly dragged my eyes over every soul, stopping on a group in a far room. 'Τους!'

The souls stiffened as I began walking toward the room. 'These four are the ones,' I placed a hand on the door when I stopped in front of it, sending shadows to wrap around the group. 'Ακολούθησέ με. Ακουσε με.' I stepped away from the door and waited for them to open it, smirking at the red glow in their eyes. 'This will make me pass out later, but it's the only way to do this safely.' I led the group to the basement, ordering them into different cells before chaining them up.

"Release," I shuddered and grabbed the cell bars as my energy depleted rapidly. "...You four... Will never lay a finger on my son... You will die in these cells."

"I-Isa-"

"I saw it. In your souls. Your plan," I growled as the ground shook. "None of you will ever live again. You will be stuck in the afterlife. I've marked your souls — rebirth is not allowed."

"Yo-you can't do that!"

"You were plotting to kill the grandson of the King of the Dead," I cackled and glared over my shoulder at the maid who spoke. "I can do that. You should be glad I didn't force you to relive your most traumatic memories until you eventually died; Trapped in your own minds, unable to eat, drink, or sleep... My sister would've loved it."

"...Isa..." A growl left me as the blonde in the cell in front of me said my name. "I-I'm-!"

"You'll die last," I watched as shadows snaked around the woman's throat. "Offering to watch him for us when we had to do something... Helping us keep an eye on him when he's napping... You're a monster. Not the ladies."

I stormed out of the basement and stopped at the kitchen entrance, swaying in place as exhaustion made it harder to keep moving. 'Controlling four people at once is more exhausting than I remember.' I stumbled out of the kitchen, being caught by Sorana as she called my name. 'If I didn't know any better, I'd say she sounded concerned.'

When I gained consciousness, my eyes lazily drifted to the right and landed on a frowning Apollo and Miranda. "I hate that look."

"Using that technique?!" Apollo barked and pushed off the counter he was leaning on. "The last time you did that, you nearly died."

"...They were planning to kill Costin."

Miranda's eyes widened, fear filling her eyes before immediately disappearing. 'That's right... Her daughter... A baby's death would bring back a lot of trauma from her daughter's passing.'

"That's why your siblings aren't letting anyone down there... We haven't heard any screaming."

"Soundproofing spell," I groaned and sat up slowly with the help of someone on my other side. "Hunter set it up a while ago. Helps the humans sleep."

"...These maids... What were their names?"

"Ashley Thompson," Hunter stated as she entered the room. "Irina Alexandrescu, Maria Popov, and Ada Klein. Zagreus gave their names before the basement was sealed with their magic. It didn't sound good in there."

"Good," I growled and glanced to my other side, noticing the triplets watching me. "...I'm alright, I promise."

"Despite what I said before, they're right," Apollo sighed. "The situation where Isa nearly died was them trying to stop an invasion long enough for the others to catch up. Controlling four people causes them to pass out... It took everything I knew to keep Isa alive when they tried that."

"I just need to sleep and eat," I promised with a smile.

"Two things you're horrible at managing."

"Apollo shut the hell up! No one asked you!"

The triplets giggled before moving closer to the bed. "We're just glad you're awake."

"I was shocked when Sorana contacted me," Apollo admitted. "I guess being here's been good for her. Seems like it's harder for Kronos's powers to influence her."

"It was never him," I sighed and shook my head. "It was her father, but that's in the past. How's Costin?"

"Shaking, but with Mother," Bela promised me. "Sorana was originally going to start a snack for us, but heard you stumbling around and eventually you stumbled out of the kitchen. She yelled for us immediately and said that she'd contact Apollo."

"...She even offered to get Mother Miranda," Hunter muttered. "The triplets not hating her entirely seems to have helped her as well. Sorana's turning into the girl who gave us a tour of the camp again."

"I'm glad she's healing," I admitted and leaned into Bela's grasp. "She's free now, and I hope she continues to make the right decisions."

"Oh, you're awake," Sorana muttered as she walked in with a cart of food. "Lady Daniela asked me to bring some food for you."

"Thank you, Sorana... For everything today. And thank you for the food."

Sorana smiled and handed the plate to Cassandra to feed me. "No problem! Try to take it easy for the day. Don't make them worry too much."

I scoffed and smiled before taking a bite of the food Cassandra offered me. "Mm, fine. Only because I'm sure everyone in this room would kick my ass if I didn't take it easy."

"Correct," Apollo grumbled. "Especially me. I outrank you when it comes to your health."

"Trust me, I know. You never let me forget that."

After a few more minutes, almost everyone left the room, leaving me with the triplets. I leaned against the pillows as they sat on the edges of the bed, earning a smile from me.

"The maids said you looked like a demon," Daniela muttered, her eyes holding concern. "They refused to leave their rooms until we told them you were unconscious."

"Murderous intent..." I muttered. "Once I realized it was toward Costin, I snapped. They were going over their plan when I grabbed them..."

"We'll make sure to keep a close eye on the maids from here on then. Maybe even Sorana can be our in-between. The maids speak to her freely, even though she's not attacked by us often."

"...That could work," I murmured as Daniela began massaging my left leg.

"Can we see? What you showed them? Or-or would it be too much?"

"After a bit more rest," I promised with a yawn as Bela joined in massaging my other leg. "Using my powers like that after so long was more exhausting than I remembered."

"Well, just relax," Cassandra whispered and kissed my shoulder, bringing her hands up to massage both of them. "Let us help you. Our Mother and Hunter can take care of Costin, and Sorana can keep most of the maids in line — especially after what they saw from you."

I giggled and shut my eyes, relaxing into their touch. "Well, who am I to deny attention from my girlfriends?"
