"Getting to spend more time with you? I'll take it."
Daniela giggled before swarming me outside of her Mother's office, setting me down with a knock on the door. "She'll love the idea!"
"Enter, Daniela," The Lady chuckled on the other side of the door, causing Daniela to open it and drag me inside. "I see your unofficial partner is with you."
"H-hi," I muttered with a shy smile, bowing to her. '... I'm not wearing my binder-. This is so awkward now that I remember that.'
"We wanted to ask about throwing another costume ball. Halloween's soon, and I'm sure Costin will enjoy his first costume ball."
"This is just another excuse to see Isa wear something other than their uniform and that outfit, isn't it?"
"...Wh-what?! N-No!?"
I tried to fight the smile on my face before bowing to the Lady. "In her defense, my Lady, Costin does love attention. A costume ball where we get to dress him up and show him around would make him happy, but I'm sure that added bonus of me dressing up will be appreciated by the girls."
The Lady laughed and waved us off, amusement in her eyes. "Alright, alright. I'll arrange for another costume ball."
"Thank you, Mother!" Daniela purred before swarming over to hug her Mother.
"Isa, do you mind leaving us for a bit? I'll send Daniela back to you after our conversation."
"I'll be in the library." I bowed with a smile before leaving.
Daniela POV
"Yes, Mother?" I cringed at her sigh, offering a timid smile.
"Ask it."
"H-huh?"
She laughed and shook her head. "Ask me the same question your sisters asked. About Isa."
I coughed in an attempt to hide my flustered buzzing. "I-I don't know wh-what you're t-talking about, M-mother!"
"Daniela, just ask. I know what you three want; it's obvious."
"...Do we have your permission to-."
"Yes," I let out a relieved sigh when she cut me off. "On one condition. Not while I'm in the castle, and make sure you're far from the baby."
"Of course! And, maybe Hunter could soundproof a room for us. Just to be safe!"
"It won't be anyone's bedroom. It'll be a spare one, and none of you will complain. Do I make myself clear?"
"Yes, Mother! I-I'll let Bela and Cass know right away!"
"...Come here," My Mother smiled, making me swarm into her arms for a hug. "I'm proud of you three. You didn't have to step up and also be mothers for Costin, but you have, and it's made things infinitely easier for Isa and Hunter. You've grown so much since he was born and proven how serious you all are about being with Isa."
I purred and nuzzled into her, making a mental note to relay the message to Bela and Cass later. "We're very serious about them, I promise. And, come on, how can anyone not want to be around and help with Costin?! All he does is babble and giggle — and have you heard how he babbles to our flies?!"
She laughed and kissed my head, letting me go from the hug after a while. "That's what I like to hear, Daniela. Now go, Isa's waiting."
"I love you, Mother."
"I love you more."
Isa POV
I smiled and watched Bela blow raspberries on Costin's stomach, earning another giggle from him. My attention shifted to Daniela when she swarmed in, her eyes landing on her sister and Costin. I snaked my arms around her hips when she stopped next to me, kissing her cheek with a smile.
"What'd your Mother want to talk about?"
Daniela smiled before whispering in my ear. "Permission."
"...To have-?"
"Yes."
I cleared my throat in an attempt to fight back my blush. "I-I see. Th-that's good news."
Daniela giggled before kissing my temple. "You sound nervous."
"An excited nervousness."
"There are some rules, but that's expected."
I giggled and glanced at Bela when she lifted Costin in the air. "Yeah, it is. Do all of you play with him like this? Is that why he always babbles at your flies? He wants you to pick him up?"
Daniela giggled before walking me to the couch. "Something like that, yeah. We always have an eye on him, just in case."
"Seems he took notice of it."
"Costin just loves his moms."
I smiled when Daniela referred to herself and her sisters as Costin's moms, standing on my toes to peck her lips. "Yeah, he does."
I turned my attention back to Bela as she lowered Costin and kissed his forehead, my heart swelling with warmth and love. 'I could watch this forever,' My arms tightened around Daniela. 'And fall in love with Bela all over again. I guess Hunter either had something to do, or Bela just wanted to play with Costin.' I whispered to Daniela that we could leave if she wanted, giggling when she grinned and swarmed to find a book.
'Now, where's she going?' It wasn't long before Daniela returned with a book, her arm wrapping around my waist as she guided me out of the library. I tried to get a look at the book she grabbed, curiosity getting the better of me. Daniela's hand moved until it pinched my cheek, earning a whine from me as I swatted her hand away.
"Don't be mean!"
"No peaking," Daniela tutted.
"But!"
"No."
I pouted and glared at the cut-off title of the book. "I'll figure it out."
"Not before I start reading," Daniela giggled as we reached the opera hall. "Or, you can play me a song. I hear you and Bela practice on the piano a lot, so I want a show."
"Do you stay up to listen to us?"
"So does Cass," She shrugged with a smile. "It sounds beautiful! How can we not? Our unofficial partner-,"
"That will change soon! The third dates are nearly ready!"
Daniela giggled and kissed my forehead. "We know! You know, if you do this for me, I'll count it as our third date."
"Tempting," I purred, letting my tail wag. "But you'll love what I have planned! And it'll happen tonight."
"Well, now I'm excited."
"Have a seat, and I'll play you a song while you read. Any suggestions?"
Once Daniela sat down, she locked eyes with me and nearly burst into laughter. "Piano Man."
I laughed and sat on the piano bench, lifting the fall board before placing my fingers on the starting keys. "Shall I sing it as well?"
"Please do!"
