"Senator Amidala, meeting us, thank you for. Under better circumstances, wish it was." Yoda greeted the Senator of Naboo.
"Thank you, Master Yoda. I wish it was too." The woman greeted him warmly before turning her attention to the rest of us.
Obi-Wan greeted the Senator with kind respectful eyes, reaching out to shake her hand. "It's a great pleasure to see you again, milady"
Again? Obi-Wan has met the Senator before? Maybe my suspicions were correct in thinking Anakin knows her too.
"It's been far too long, Master Kenobi." The Senator smiled back charismatically. Her gaze then shifted to Anakin, who was almost hiding in the shadow of his Master like a little boy. He looked nervous and vulnerable. The Senator's head tilted to the side and then her eyes widened "Ani?"
Ani? Oh, they must know each other.
I watched in disbelief as Anakin blushed in response to the Senator calling him Ani. It was a nickname that he hated when I said it.
"My goodness you've grown!" She exclaimed, eyeing the young Jedi up and down.
"So have you." Anakin finally took a step forward from behind his Master. "Grown more beautiful I mean... well, for a Senator I mean." He backtracked, stuttering a little with his speech. Obi-Wan and I exchanged looks at Anakin's awkward attempt at flirting.
The Senator had a big smile on her face and then she giggled. "Ani, you'll always be that little boy I knew on Tatooine."
So they do know each other. But on Tatooine? What was Anakin doing on the Outer Rim planet? Had Obi-Wan and him been there on a mission together? And why was the Senator of Naboo there?
"And you are someone I haven't met before." The Senator's gaze landed on me, pulling me out of my thoughts. "You must be my doppelgänger. Wow, we really do look alike!" She mused as she walked closer to inspect me.
"Padme Amidala" she formally introduced herself, putting out her hand to shake my own.
"Y/N" I shook her hand and bowed— she was the former Queen of Naboo after all.
"Lovely to meet you, Y/N." Padme smiled warmly.
"The pleasure is all mine, Senator." I smiled back.

We moved to a place to sit down to discuss our plan. A large man was standing closely behind the Senator before stepping forward and introducing himself to us. "I'm captain Typho of her Majesty's security service. Queen Jamilla has been informed of your assignment. I am grateful you're all here. The situation is far more dangerous than the Senator will admit."
Padme shook her head. "I don't need more security, I need answers. I want to know who's trying to kill me."
"The Senator is putting on a brave face, but the truth is she needs all the protection she can get." Master Typho spoke, earning himself a glare from the Senator.
