The sky was pitch black when we arrived on Adamo. Factoring in the time difference from Coruscant, it was already past midnight on the foreign planet. The King and Queen had already been asleep for hours.

The guard assured us not to worry and that we would meet them in the morning for a royal breakfast. Until then, a room in had already been made up for us to stay in.

We roamed the dark halls of the palace towards our room, the only lighting was the torch that the guard carried, so we didn't get to see very much.

"Ah, here we are." The guard opened the door to our room. "I hope it is to your liking."

He switched on the lights and I stopped my jaw from falling to the floor as my eyes met easily the most lavish room I'd ever seen— aside from Padme's lakeside estate in Naboo. It had a chandelier comprised of what must of been over a thousand sparkling diamonds, a marble fireplace, and expensive curtains draped artistically across the windows. It was a stark contrast to Anakin and I's bedrooms at the temple, which consisted of simple twin sized beds, white bland cotton sheets, and a small black table and chair.

My eyes scanned the room over, stopping when I realized there was was only one bed

My eyes scanned the room over, stopping when I realized there was was only one bed.

I don't know how I hadn't thought about this beforehand. To the royal family of Adamo, we were husband and wife— obviously it would make sense for us to share a bed.

I looked over at Anakin to find him staring at the bed as well. He caught me watching him and immediately looked down at the floor.

"I'll let you two get some sleep." The guard winked at us with a huge smile, as if alluding to something else.

As soon as he left the room Anakin sat on the edge of the couch and began removing his boots.
"I'll take the couch." He says casually.

"Anakin, you can't be serious. That couch is way too small for you, just come and sleep in the bed. It's huge." I told him.

"I sensed your panic earlier when you saw there was only one bed. I don't want to make you uncomfortable." He shook his head.

"I'll be fine." I assured him. "It's not like we haven't shared a bed before."

His cheeks turned a bright shade of pink.

"Plus, it'll look suspicious if someone walks in here and sees you on the couch and not sharing a bed with your wife." I added. "I promise I'll be fine with it. But if you're not okay with sharing a bed with me, I—"

"No, I'm fine with it." He insisted. "I just wanted to make sure it was okay with you."

I had changed into my nightgown and let my hair fall down my mid-black. I brushed a few more strands of hair in front of the on-suite bathroom mirror before heading back to our room for bed.
