*A/N - Part two of the First Battle of Geonosis. I was reading the original screenplay for AOTC and re-watching the movie. There are a lot of lines they altered/left out so I decided to add some of them back into my story. Also holy moly this took so long to writer. My hands are actually cramping.*

**TW - This chapter contains mature subject matter including violence, and depictions of war and injuries.**

Anakin and I exited hyperspace in our starship as we headed toward the rings of Geonosis. I peered through the window to view the unfamiliar planet for the first time— it appeared to be very barren, the vast expanse of it covered in harsh rock-covered desert.

"See those columns of steam straight ahead?" I pointed out to Anakin as we reached location into the landing area. "They're exhaust vents of some type."

"That'll do." Anakin understood that I was suggesting that we land our starfighter there were no one would see us, and he steered the ship in that direction.

"Look, whatever happens out there, we need to work together as a team. This can't be like our missions before. I'm not interested in getting into a war here." I told him as he switched off the engine in the cockpit.

"I don't know what you're talking about." He played dumb with a smirk.

I shoved him lightly, getting up from my seat in the co-pilot's chair. "Anakin, I'm serious." I whined.

"Don't worry." He grinned, finding my frustration amusing, but he agreed to my conditions. "I promise to behave, Princess. I've given up trying to argue with you."

"So that nickname is sticking then?" I sighed. He laughed in response. It definitely was.

As we exited the starfighter, Artoo whistled and beeped in protest. We overheard Threepio scold him from the cockpit. "My obtuse little friend, if they had needed our help they would have asked for it, hm? You obviously have a great deal to learn about human behaviour."

Artoo let out a plaintive sigh in response, and Anakin and I covered our mouths to laugh at their interaction.

Steam from the exhaust vents concealed our entrance through the stalagmite city into the corridors. As we looked around at the emptiness, I couldn't help get the feeling we were being watched. The surface of pillars seemed to pulse slowly and move.

"Wait," I stopped Anakin, my hand hovering over the hilt of my lightsaber at my side defensively.

A low-pitched squawking noise sounded out suddenly, and high above winged Geonosian creatures grew from the pillars and detached themselves, crawling out to attack. Anakin and I ignited our weapons immediately.

An array of blue and green could be seen flashing throughout in the darkly lit gangway as we swung our sabers to thwart against our attackers, slashing through the insectoids and heading towards the nearest exit to escape them.

As I ran through the exit-point I realized I had made a mistake when the ground below me retracted back into the wall and I plunged down towards an actively moving conveyer-belt. It appeared we were in some sort of droid-building factory.

Anakin had been a few steps behind me defending himself from another droid when he finally caught up, narrowly protecting himself from falling by hanging onto some lever on the door. "Y/N!" He called out for me as I screamed and continued to fall.
