**A/N - The songs playing in my mind:
The Weeknd - The Party & The After Party, and One of the Girls (when Y/N is dancing at the Bar)
The Weeknd - House of Balloons/Glass Table Girls (when Anakin becomes possessive)

Also the next chapter is going to be an emotional rollercoaster. Are you ready for a certain someone to finally confess how they feel??**

Anakin's POV:

I sensed her panic as soon as she saw my former Master finding us in what most arguably looked like a compromising position. I know she's scared. She doesn't know that he knew our secret and is on our side.

"I have to go after her." I tell Obi-Wan. "I have to make sure she's alright."

"Good." He replies. "I saw the fear in her eyes. She doesn't know I know does she? She probably ran out because she thinks I'm going to report her to the Council."

"I'm going to tell her now. I should have as soon as I knew."

I know I'm about to get a lecture by the disappointed fatherly look on his face. His hands are crossed sternly at his chest, waving his hands at me pointedly. "You know you really ought to be more careful, Anakin. You're lucky it was me who walked in and not another member of the Council. Otherwise you would have had some serious explaining to do."

I wince. "I know that."

I can practically see the band of pain on his forehead and in between his brows— a tension headache. He pinches the skin between his brows with his index finger and thumb and begins to massage it. "Seriously, what on Coruscant were you thinking?"

"I wasn't."

"You clearly weren't thinking at all!" Obi-Wan continues to scold me as if he didn't heard my response.

"I know that, Obi-Wan." I say, my voice low and serious enough to garner his attention again. "I should have been more careful. I promise not to let anything like that happen again." My heart lurches thinking about a distraught Y/N sitting alone in her room right now. "I have to go now, okay? She's probably a wreck."

"I'm counting on you to do that, Anakin." He replies.

"I promise, Obi-Wan."

The closer I get to her quarters, the greater her turmoil permeates in the Force. I knock on her door gently, hoping she'll answer.

The knob slowly turns to reveal her timid frame. The sight is gut-wrenching and I hate myself because all I seem to do these days is cause her pain. She looks up at me and wipes a tear from her watery red eyes. She's been crying. I made her cry.

"Anakin?" She asks quietly.

"Can I come in?" I ask softly.

She nods hesitantly, cracking the door open just a sliver to let me through.

She closes the door behind her, leaning against the frame defeatedly. I fight the instinct to wrap my arms around her and wipe her tears. I want to be her human shield. Her shoulder to cry on. I want to hold her as she lets her tears out and sobs into my chest. I want to stroke her hair softly and be her safe haven. But I know the last thing she probably wants right now is for me to touch her, especially after just being caught.

Another tear manages to fall, and she wipes it away quickly. "Where is Obi-Wan?" She asks, looking at the door expectantly like he and the rest of the Council are going to burst through any minute and take her away. Her voice sounds hoarse and her noise sounds plugged.
