When they got back to the station, Kim pushed Stephanie into the interrogation room. Hank came in a minute later. He didn't say anything, which worried both of them.
"So Hank..." Stephanie spoke up.
"So Steph, I hear you know who the shooter is."
"I do."
"I'll make you a deal."
"What kind of deal?"
"You give us the shooter's name and address, we'll kick you off the murder charge."
"I planned to kill her. It was well thought out. I knew what I was going to kill her with. She threatened my sister and her husband. I did what I thought was right."
"You did do what was right."
"What are you saying?"
"I'm willing to cut you a deal."
"This is illegal."
"Do you think I care?"
"No, not really. Aren't you under a watchful eye since you got out of prison?"
"That was years ago. I doubt anyone's watching me anymore."
"Why do you want to cut me a deal? I killed someone."
"Do you want the deal or not?"
"I'll take it."
"Good girl."
"It's Gustav."
"Didn't we put him in jail?"
"The week before you joined Intelligence."
"I knew I remembered his name from somewhere."
"He still lives in the same house."
"It looks like you're going undercover."
"Hell no!"
"This would look great on your application to the police academy."
"Excuse me while I say...HELL NO."
"This would help us out."
"I'm not getting mixed in with them."
"We can't arrest him unless we have evidence. You'll be wearing a wire and clothing to blend in."
"When you went undercover, he almost killed you and Nadia both."
"He spent like half his life in jail."
"The man shot up a daycare for crying out loud!"
"You're going to take that deal and do as we say, or we're not dropping the murder charge."
"Okay fine." She huffed.
"The rest of the unit will be surrounding the house. You have nothing to worry about. Do as he says. Okay?"
"What if he makes me have sex with him?"
"Agree with what he says and do what he says, he won't hurt you. We're gonna be able to hear everything he says, so we'll know when to come in."
"I don't wanna die."
"I got mixed up with him and I didn't die."
"Maybe I won't be so lucky."
"You're never gonna know until you try."
She headed back out into the office. Jay left his phone on the desk, she jumped when it started going off. It was a text from Gabby. She looked around and made sure no one was looking.
"Xander and I just got a call. Get to the address below ASAP."
"Can I help you?" His voice came up behind Kim.
"It's from Gabby." She handed it to him and then dashed out of the room.
"What is it?"
"This is urgent. You guys need to see this."
"What is it?"
"There's not much time."
He turned to everyone. "Guys, we need to get to this address. Like now."
"Why?" Kevin asked.
"Antonio's pain in the ass sister won't tell me."
When they got there, Peter came over to Jay's car. "You're not going to like this."
"Why is no one telling me what's going on?!"
"Go inside and see for yourself."
He ran inside, searched both floors and found nothing.
"We're in here!" Xander's voice echoed from the kitchen.
He ran in and was horrified by the sight.
"She OD'd. We don't know how or on what."
"That's...that's..."
"Does Jay know this girl?" Xander asked Gabby.
"It's his daughter."
"Search her pockets." Hank demanded.
Her pockets were searched, two ounces of cocaine were found inside them. Her eyes suddenly shot open and she started fighting them.
"Knock her out!" Gabby yelled.
Xander held his fist back, preparing to hit her with full force.
"I don't mean punch her! Give her morphine or something!"
Jay pinned her arms down as a shot of morphine was injected into her neck. She sat there, staring blankly at the ceiling. He waved his hand in front of her and snapped his fingers.
"We should get her to a hospital."
"Gabby, you and him go talk. I got this." Peter came in the house.
Gabby took him into the living room. "Jay..."
"My daughter almost died of a drug overdose. She's only fourteen. She's feeling hated because her mother left and I'm always working. I don't know how to help her."
"You're still her father and should talk to her. Get Erin to move back out here, do something."
"She's a mini Erin. There won't be a thing I can do to help her."
"Explain to her how wrong this is and explain the consequences. You don't want to lose her, do you?"
"No."
"Go talk to her."
