I raised a brow, "So what's for breakfast?" I questioned, knowing she had made pancakes, but that there was other stuff too.
Mili hummed, "Just my famous blueberry pancakes with fruit and bacon," she said as we pulled away to set the table up.
"Oh, famous?" I questioned, clearly teasing her as I grabbed the plate of blueberry pancakes and the bowl of fresh fruit.
Mili laughed as she followed behind me, "Yeah—Mya always requests them anytime she's near me. Even when I'm home for the holidays, my family begs me to make them," she said, easily making my brows raise.
"Oh? Well, in that case, I can't wait to try them," I determined, knowing that they smelled amazing.
Mili smirked, "Are you sure? Because once you have these, you can't go back," she said, clearly joking but at the same time, I knew she was being partially serious.
I only smiled as I carefully sat the plate and bowl down at the long black table, "Maybe I don't want to go back," I said, analyzing all the different pictures she had spread across the table as she sat down the plate of bacon and the pitcher of orange juice before returning to the kitchen to grab the rest of the stuff.
Meanwhile, I could only remain stuck frozen as I stared at all the different pictures.
Especially one of the pictures, which managed to catch my eye completely.
It was the one from the cave—where Mili had me facing away from the camera, easily capturing my spine along with my shadowed figure.
It was so weird—it's like I knew it was me and it looked like me, but Mili seemed to capture me in a different light.
It was so incredible how she could do that.
"What are these?" I asked as she stopped right at the table.
Mili sat the plates and silverware down along with the bowl in her hand, "It's some options for my upcoming gallery show."
I raised a brow, "Gallery show? That sounds exciting," I said, clearly excited to hear more about her work.
Mili smiled slightly, "Yeah—although this one won't be for sale," she determined, carefully picking up the one of me.
I raised a brow, "Not even if someone offers a million for it?"
"Not at all," Mili said without hesitation.
I smirked slightly, "What about a billion?"
I honestly just wanted to see how far she'd take this.
It really didn't bother me if she sold the picture, but clearly it bothers her.
Mili's face grew with amusement as she gathered the pictures into a neat stack so we'd have room to eat, "Let's just say that there isn't a price I'd ever sell it at," she said, sitting down at the table.
I didn't hesitate to sit down on the black wooden bench beside her, "Oh? That's a pretty big deal," I teased her as Mili guided both of my legs over one of her legs.
Mili hummed as she made both of our plates, "That's because you're a pretty big deal," she said, pressing a fleeting kiss to my cheek.
And I couldn't help but raise my brows when she suddenly drizzled a blueberry sauce from one of the pots she brought over.
The sauce smelt so sweet and it had small little blueberries in it.
I swear my mouth was watering just looking at it.
Mili lightly drizzled the pancakes with the warm maple syrup, "Okay, first bite honors," she said, cutting into my pancake before holding the small bite to my lips.
