Mili was pulling me back into her body as soon as I even took a step toward Cam.
"Let go of me," I said, actively trying to pull out of her hold as Ryder and Mya instinctively took a few steps down the stairs to stand with us.
Mili only held me tighter, "You're my girl—which means you don't get your hands dirty," she murmured lowly, leaning down to my ear before she said, "I'm going to handle it."
And I couldn't even fight the warmth that covered my body—easily picking up on her words.
My girl.
It was something about those two words that made me want to get down on my knees for her a second time.
Mili suddenly walked past me towards Cam who was ending a phone call as her light eyes scanned between all of us.
And as my girlfriend got closer to her, I seemed to get more anxious.
Cam shook her head as she slid her phone into her pocket, "Look I should apologize for—"
But she was cut short when Mili didn't even hesitate to collide her fist with Cam's nose.
Both Mya and I collectively winced, while Ryder seemed to be on guard, clearly ready to jump in for Mili if needed.
Cam instinctively held her bleeding nose with a painful expression, "Okay I deserved that one after punching you," she determined mostly to herself.
Mili only shook her head, "It wasn't for that."
Cam's brows raised, "The Alyssa situation was a minute ag—"
"For disrespecting my girlfriend," Mili cut Cam's assumption short, "Don't try it again," she added, turning back around to us.
And I couldn't help but feel turned on by the way she just stood up in my honor.
The whole punching situation didn't seem to bother my girlfriend—instead, it was the way Cam spoke to me that night.
And god, that just made her even more attractive than before, and I didn't even know that was actually possible.
"Yeah, I'm sorry for that Ana," Cam suddenly spoke as she held her head up to keep the blood from dripping.
And before I could possibly say anything, Mili suddenly said, "Your apology isn't accepted."
I awkwardly pursed my lips as I leaned into Mili's warm body, walking with her down the next set of stairs as she instinctively slid her arm around my waist.
"Take care of yourself, Cam," Mya said as she followed us down the stairs with Ryder by her side, who sent Cam a nod of acknowledgment.

"I honestly can't believe she thought I'd do that for Alyssa."
I slid off my heels, "Why didn't you?" I questioned, halting our steps into Mili's loft.
Mili turned to face me, "Why didn't I?" she repeated back to me.
"Do that for Alyssa... Why didn't you go off on Cam when you found out about it all?" I asked, knowing I probably would've been so pissed off if someone did that to me.
Mili tilted her head, "Because I was dating Alyssa at the time—there wasn't really room to be mad at Cam," she explained as if she hadn't thought of it any other way, "Yeah, Cam fucked up but it was Alyssa who really did me wrong, and she didn't really deserve a reaction or my energy after what she did."
I nodded hesitantly, clearly taking in her explanation, "So you just walked away—you didn't yell or anything?" I asked, clearly surprised that anyone had that much restraint.
