The remainder of spring break with Mya seemed to fly by so quickly, I seemed to get whiplash.

I had managed to show her the island and introduce her to my parents and godmothers.

We also bar-hopped at a few of the beach bars nearby too.

What I loved the most was how easily Mya and I fell into a routine here.

From waking up early to catch the sunrise—to laying out on the beach and catching up on sleep, and then later walking around the island to find lunch before getting ready for dinner.

After dinner, we would go out and seemingly not get back home until at least one in the morning.

"You saw that right—" Mya smiled as she chewed on the grape that she had managed to catch in her mouth, "—That was five back to back."

I laughed as I sat beside her at the kitchen island, "Yes I saw that," I said as I cut into my pancakes, which my mom had made us before she and my dad left for their errands.

Mya hummed happily, "Good because I need someone to vouch for me when I brag about it later," she said as her phone began ringing with a FaceTime call from Ryder.

"Take it," I told Mya as soon as she looked at me, clearly about to ask if it was cool to take the call.

She hadn't really talked to Ryder since we were on a girl's trip, but they had been texting.

Mya shot me a smile as she slid her thumb across the screen to answer the FaceTime call.

"Hiiii," Mya gushed as Ryder's face appeared on the screen.

Ryder smiled, "Hi My—what's going on? How's your morning so far?"

Mya's smile grew, "Good, me and Ana are eating pancakes and fruit—and I think we're heading back out to the beach later," she said, nudging my arm when I managed to draw fake hearts in the air.

Ryder laid back in what looked to be a beach chair, "That sounds fun—the sunrise you sent me earlier looked insane," he said as he took a drink from someone's extended hand.

Mya hummed happily, "It was, wasn't it?" she said as she cut into the pancakes we were sharing, "How's everything in Tulum?"

Ryder's smile grew, "So good, Mi's friends are really cool," he said as he sipped his mixed drink.

And his statement alone managed to catch my attention—and I couldn't help but wonder what her friends were like.

I had never met them before, and I couldn't help but wonder why.

I guess we hadn't been dating for long enough at the time—

But at the same time, it felt like I'd known her for a while.

Even if we only started dating in December, I had still known her since August.

So why had she never introduced me to her friends?

Or even mention them?

It was odd, I guess I always assumed Mili and Mya shared our friend group.

But in reality, Mili was two years older than Mya and she's also been traveling around the world.

So clearly, she had her own set of friends, which seemed to include Ryder now.

"Ana you've got to stop zoning out," Mya suddenly said as she sat her phone down.

And I couldn't help but snap away from my thoughts, suddenly realizing that she had finished her call with Ryder.

I forced a laugh, but failed miserably, "Sorry," I said as I sat my fork down, clearly not feeling hungry anymore.
