They've almost lived here for an entire year.
Each one of them has turned 15.
Although birthdays didn't mean much to them, it never really had, they just acknowledged it from time to time, but it was never really celebrated, mainly because they didn't have enough money to.
The school finals are coming up.
Jaxie spends most of her time studying in her dorm room now.
The others try to spend as much free time as they can before the inevitable adventure to kill an unknown threat begins.
Although there's one thing to look forward to before the finals...
Prom!
Eris: "We saved up some money to buy our prom dresses!
take a break for once.."
Jaxie: "I can't, I don't want to break the rules"
Kiya: "Come on Jaxie it'll be fun"
Jaxie: "fun doesn't matter in the long term"
Eris: "Come on please please pretty please
Jaxie: "Sigh...ok but if we get caught i'll throwing y'all under the bus"
Kiya: "We won't get caught"
Eris: "Yea and it will give you a break for once!"
They practically had to drag Jaxie out of the door.
Jaxie: "Woha! Wait, we actually are going over the school border!?"
Evelyn: "well duh"
Eris: "Oh come on! We go over the border all the time!"
Jaxie: "WHA-"
Kiya: "You've never gone over before?"
Jaxie: "uh...no...?"
She lied, but she only ever went for food.
Kiya: "Well then it's your first time! Let's go!"
They had Jaxie put on a nervous disposition after going over the border.
They never really liked rules and always tried to break them, but here, because this world was so new to her, she didn't feel comfortable breaking any.
It's a very unfamiliar place.
Jaxie: "Willow? Should I turn back?"
Eris: "Stop talking to your bat and HAVE FUN!"
They all followed Eris to the traveling market with an array of dresses and suits, there were so many types.
So many different kinds of colors and patterns and fabrics (plus they were cheap!)
Jaxie eyed all the dresses, some were bright green and some were deep red.
But only one caught her eye.
A dress with a cream white ruffled top and long loose sleeves.
It had a brown leather vest and a darker brown belt.
The skirt was made out of dark leather that would go down to Jaxie knees.
The vest had stars embroidered inside.
She took it off the hanger and examined it, Jaxie bought it and dark combat boots to go with it.
For Eris, it wasn't really a hard choice.
They already had done a high school prom back and earth.
She decided to look for a dress that looked similar to that one.
