It was morning.
The trees were roofing this part of the forest.
Beams of purple light still seeped through, lighting the way.
Ashley: "Kiya hurry the hell up!"
The group's footsteps, loud against the leaves and sticks on the path.
Kiya: "Oh I'm sorry for being slow when I'm pregnant Ashley! I'm vomiting all the time, and my back hurts like hell. So give me a break!"
Apollo: "OK, Let's try to not cause a fight here..."
Ashley: "One fight leads to another....Yeah, yeah, I fucking get it"
Apollo: "And Jaxie isn't here to stop anything!"
Eris: "How could Jaxie let herself get caught like that?"
Elios: "We should take it as a warning.."
Suddenly bushes wrestled next to the group, and out came a bat and a girl covered in dirt.
Eris: "Ohh it's Jaxie's he's familiar! What was its name again?"
Willow made a discontented sound.
Kiya: "it's Willow, Eris..."
Willow chirped in approval.
Wynna: "um..where's jax?"
She said in a low voice, clutching the bottom of her dress.
Kiya: "Jaxie was captured...but we'll get her back!"
She followed up with trying to send a sound of hope for the child.
Willow and Wynna both had a shocked expression on their faces.
Wynna: "That's OK, we'll just follow you..."
She said mistrustfully.
Ashley: "OK, whenever, let's just get a move on!"
They continued walking.
Ashley led With Eris beside her.
Elios was right behind them.
Walking slower than the rest with Kiya, Apollo holding her hand.
Wynna walked the farthest keeping her distance, Willow resting on her shoulder.
Ashley: "Guys..We should be careful. I'm noticing landmines.."
Eris: "Landmines?!"
Ashley pointed at a cylinder which was painted to seem like a rock.
Kiya: "So if we're not careful, we'd blow everyone up?"
Ashley: "Not those kind of landmines...These are filled with a... virus I guess you could say..Apparently Lorenzo developed all these himself in a lab.."
Elios: "Wait. So why are all of these bioweapons here in the middle of nowhere?"
He said tiptoeing around.
Ashley: "Because we're literally on the path to Ethereum! of course! they set these weapons here"
An awkward silence filled the air around them.
Suddenly, a sharp clink ended the silence, quickly followed by the haunting hiss of escaping gas.
Eris: "What was that??"
The group whipped around, trying to locate the origin of the unsettling sound.
Wynna had accidentally stepped on one of the mines, and now it was leaking a red gas heading straight towards her face.
