✩ Chapter 33

Eris: "Jaxie please I understand you may not forgive me but we need to kill him for the sake of others and us..."

The morning sun was slowly rising from the horizon, distorted, but soon to become whole,

Its light bending and distorting with Eris's wavy ivory hair, Jaxie was slumped over outside of the cave.

Jaxie had woken up from her drug induced slumber at midnight, the half moon's soft glow and the deep night breeze from the forest had tickled her awake.

Helio and Eris had fallen asleep by then, but Kiya and Ashley were there to hold Jaxie back before she threw the ginormous rock that she found the forest on top of both of their heads.

After much struggle, they managed to take the rock away from her, Jaxie couldn't hold much of a fight because of her missing leg.

But now, with the sun rising, Jaxie started hobbling across the forest to attempt to find wood that was suitable for a new prosthetic, whilst holding on to trees for support.

Fashioning it with rocks and the last craps of rope that she still had left in her head

Eris, light on her feet, followed her, attempting to make light-hearted commentary along the way.

But Jaxie did not say a single word back, she hadn't even spoken since she woke up.

Eris: "why aren't you talking to me?"

Jaxie: "Because you killed her"

She snarled with a hoarse tone drowned with sorrow

Eris: "It wasn't us who did that to her.. It was Lorenzo! I know you have anger inside of you right now, and I think you should direct it towards him, not us"

Jaxie: " If you....ANY of you had just watched over her... Had just actually supervised her... Then we wouldn't be here right now"

She noticeably had a hard time speaking to Eris, breaking up her sentences and each one ending with a little boil of anger

Eris: "I... Well, it doesn't matter now, she's dead. What we have to do is defeat Lorenzo so he doesn't kill anyone else"

Jaxie: " No, I refuse...I can't do this anymore..I-"

Ashley: " It doesn't matter if you're hurt, there's more people dying and it's selfish to just clam up and refuse to help anyone!"
She appeared suddenly behind them, interjecting in their conversation.

Jaxie: "I just lost my sis-"

Ashley: "And I lost my entire fucking family. Deal with it!"

Jaxie: "I-......That's pretty easy to say when you're the murderer"

She commented sardonically.

Ashley: " OK! well! We still have a more fucked up person to take care of! So stop having a pity party for yourself, and let's just do this!"

Jaxie, tied the last few knots of her new prosthetic leg.

Jaxie: " Okay, fine. When this is all over, do you promise to just leave me alone?"

Ashley: "Fucking gladly"

Jaxie: "Now stop talking to me."

Her voice cracked, holding back tears.

She turned away from Eris and Ashley.

Helio shoved a thicket of bushes to the side, revealing a trapped door.

Helio: "this is the Escape hatch I was taught to use as a kid If anything went wrong in the castle"

I started this book in 2023 with three of my friends, It this book was supposed to have 2 sequels and a spinoff.

As time went on and we were writing this book, The people who are writing with me left the project.

Some on friendly terms and some on bitter terms.

Nonetheless, eventually I am left alone with this massive project that was never supposed to be done on its own.

One of the authors even started writing an au for this book, A book that's not even finished.

The blood of worlds is too big for me to finish.

 I do not have time to finish it and I would like to focus on other projects

Over time, I've really lost passion with this book series, especially because of one of the authors who kind of left a very bitter taste in my mouth and spoiled writing this book for me, because they had put so much of themselves into it and a lot of their life into it.

So what I'm saying is that I'm canceling the blood of worlds, and it's two sequels.
